The following comment was left by Ken Whitman on yesterday's post regarding the sale of Little Monsters. I'm reposting it here with minimal commenting as I feel it should be shared and read and not lost in the comments section of a prior post. The following is unedited - Tenkar

Jesus H Christ... Do you guys just speculate and make stories up for no good reason?

1. Marcus sold me the store for $320 a week for three years.
2. I have not been able to make a payment since January, and defaulted on the loan.
3. Marcus had me stay on until he found a new buyer.
4. A few weeks ago, Jim wanted to be bought out from Marcus (he was Marcus minority shareholder, he got a percentage when sold Little Monsters Comics, LLC to Marcus), so Marcus paid him money and gave the old store back to Jim.
5. Jim found a buyer. yesterday was my last day as manager as I was training everyone with the new management.

TA DA!

Q. Did Ken own the store.
A. Yes till I defaulted on the contract.

Q. Does Ken have anything to do with Little Monsters Ent?
A. No.

Q. Is Ken still working on Kickstarters?
A. Yes

Q. Is Ken going back to GA?
A. None of your damn business.

Q. Has Ken answered the NYC Lawsuit?
A. Yes Amazing how no one posted anything about it.

Q. Why did you shut down your facebook?
A. So I can move around the country, make money and finish my kickstarters without Harassment!

Q. What about the $250k in GA?
A. The woman drop charges when she figured out the files were on the disk, but she was using a PC & not a Mac and could not see them. Look using a Mac and TA DA! Why was that never posted?

Q. Do you ever get tire of people making stories up about you and then trying to convince others they are true.
A. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Q. What do you think about the disbarred Attorney that keeps filing suits against you.
A. I think its a shame that he wasted $250k+ on a law degree, and then disbarred for being an aggressive bully asshole.

Jess Hunter is the new owner of Little Monsters, now called Little Monsters Entertainment LLC. Little Monsters Games & Comics LLC is still incorporated by Ken Whitman. So, there are now TWO Little Monsters. Following thus far?

Jess Hunter claims she purchased the store location and merchandise from a "Jim Sears", not Ken Whitman.

4440 S Hwy 27 Somerset, KY is the location of Little Monsters in either incarnation.

The WhitePages lists the following businesses at that location:

Mad Ox was both after an earlier incarnation of Little Monsters and prior to the Ken and Jess incarnations - or is it?

Is Jim Sears the business partner that Marcus King has alluded to in the past?

It seems to me that either nothing was ever sold, and Marcus defrauded the Tax Man...

OR:

The store was sold to Ken Whitman and now Ken, Marcus, Jess Hunter and Jim Sears are trying to defraud the courts.

#ConManKen Goes on the Lam - Little Monsters "Sold" - Ken Looks for a New Community to Grift

It's been a busy day here at The Tavern. Beleive it or not, now we have some news from our very own #ConManKen that he posted on Facebook. Actually, I'm surprised it took this long:

As of 6pm tonight, I am no longer manager/owner of Little Monsters Games & Comics, LLC. I will be staying on till the end of the month to help with the transition of new owners. I will begin persuing a full time career in the motion pitcure industry as well as finishing up some unfinished kickstarter business. I appreceate all of you who have helped my time at Little Monsters an incredable experience.

Yep folks, its time for a new episode of ConManKen Goes on the Lam with Marcus playing the part of the chief enabler.

Mind you, all that follows are a whole bunch of suppositions. Strong ones, sure, but still suppositions.

Now, let us be real. Ken was NEVER the owner of Little Monsters. It was a shell game that benefited both Ken and Marcus UNTIL Ken was served last week with a lawsuit. The store being in Ken's name, even if only on paper, put Marcus in an awkward spot. Spotting Kenny a few bucks and giving Kenny a place to sleep (even if it was a cot in the store's office) is one thing - being on the hook to lose a whole business because of Ken's past shenanigans is a totally different ballgame.

Full time career in the motion "pitcure" industry? Where? He has a rep in Atlanta and it isnt a good one. The West Coast won't take him. Vancouver, maybe? He can claim refugee status in Canada ;)

As for the unfinished Kickstarter business - it's ALL unfinished. Not some of it - ALL of it.

Psst! Kenny - the business you sold may still be at risk from your current lawsuit, as the "sale" happened after you were served. Just a thought...

Ken Whitman now Produces Commercials - Using Equipment Paid for by Kickstarter Backers

Ah, you really have to give it to Ken / Whit Whitman. Having burned every possible bridge in the film industry in Atlanta (Ken, how many folks are trying to track you down for services paid for but never fulfilled?) has now landed in the area of London, KY. I'm guessing Toronto actually has standards and that's why "Con Man Ken" didn't make it to our neighbors up North. Shame really, as I suspect Ken would have had a great time with the Toronto film industry.

In any case, Marcus King has gone "full enabler" now, which is a damn shame, because if it weren't for "Ken, I Allegedly Bilked Honest Folks Out of Tens of Thousands of Dollars to Make Myself Great" I've heard only good things about Marcus. But then he became Ken's Uber Enabler, and now, sorry to say, Marcus is going to have his rep tarnished by none other than one of Kickstarters most prolific con artists - allegedly.

At least backers know what their monies paid for - the equipment Ken is using for these cut rate commercials.

Ken Whitman's Biggest Enabler Writes About Personal Accountability.

There's an article your should read at ICv2. Really. Its eye opening.

I'll copy the first two paragraphs here:

Personal accountability is a concept my father drilled into my psyche starting when I was about nine.  I didn’t feed the dogs one day before I went to school.  That Saturday, he did not allow me to eat or drink anything from 6AM until 4PM that day.  It taught me not only personal accountability, but also the concept that what YOU do affects OTHERS.  It taught me that failure was unacceptable. 

Fast forward 45 or so years, and I still believe in personal accountability - or, I guess, in the personal accountability of retailers.  Because I am a retailer, and I don’t think it is anyone else’s job to provide for me.  And I STILL find failure to be unacceptable.

For the writer of this article to talk about "personal accountability" and still be Ken Whitman's biggest enabler, having customers pay for photos with "Whit" the actor, the con man, the flake, Mr Snake Oil Salesman himself - ironic seems to fall short of the gall embodied by this.

Now, I've heard of strange disconnects, but this one really strikes my fancy. I wonder why?

Now, isn't it interesting Marcus is willing to spend the time to take some random mope to Small Claims Court and prosecute him for taking a $3 comic and a stack of "free comics." Nor saying the man's actions were right, just trying something for perspective.

Then we have this post, an hour after the first one, where a real "Alleged Thief" shakes people down for money:

PSA - Ken Whitman is Making a Public Appearance in London, KY on November 19th

Now I know, many of you are huge Ken Whitman / Whit Whitman / Ken Whitless fans. I know this because I've been told so. Why else would folks be asking for his latest location constantly if not to meet and great the lovable lug.

It is my understanding some folks may be looking to give ken some papers - reading material if you will. Others may wish to encourage Ken to continue to strive for the successful completion of his various Kickstarters. Well, now you can in person (as Ken pretty much ignores emails from what I gather)

Notice Ken can't say shit about season 7 of The Walking Dead? That's because he was a zombie edit - goon in season 6 - he can't say shit because he doesn't know shit. Wait, did I just blow that up on Ken? Sorry dude.

Anyhow, Ken wants to meet you so you really should make the effort to meet Ken. All he wants to be is liked. All he wants to do is make money movies. Well, makes movies with equipment paid for with your money, but really, who's paying that close attention?

It's been fairly quiet on the Ken Whitman / Whit Whitman / Ken Whitless front lately. I'm guessing he's been attempting to keep a low profile, what with lawsuits and other charges hovering like drones over his head. Ken is kinda like Whack-a-Mole - you never know where he is going to pop up next.

Ken Whitman Will (Not) be Appearing in Tomorrow's MacGyver

Whit Whitman, aka Ken Whitman, was previously listed as "Vault Guard" in episode one of the reboot of McGyver. From what little I've seen in the way of teases, it is not a TV show I have any desire to see, but for Ken I was willing to make an exception.

Alas, Kenny is no longer listed on the IMDB page for MacGyver.

So, either his speaking part - line - whatever - got left on the cutting room floor or Kenny got cut all together. Alas, I'll be recording a podcast tomorrow night and won't be able to catch a glimpse in either case.

If Kenny did get cut, who wants to guess that the community at large will take the blame?

How this reprobate was ever given an ounce or responsibility, less alone authority over the use of trademarks and the hard earned cash of members of our hobby never ceases to amaze me. Does Ken and his 8th grade education even allow for the use of proper grammar? At least it appears he's learned how to use the spell checking capabilities built into most web browsers.

I love how Kenny throws around the words "unfair" and "fairly". Like that would even come into the equation for Kenny. It's all about the money.

Who Will be Ken Whitman's Sean Fannon?

When Sean Fannon embellished Gareth Sharka's "press release" with words such as "icon" and "stalwart" and tried to keep the narrative positive in the comments section. he was doing more than just "sharing an announcement". Sean put his own reputation on the line to endorse someone who is seen by many as a polarizing individual in the gaming hobby. Yeah, I'm trying to be PC ;)

So, who is going to do the same for Kenny Whitman, the lovable thief (allegedly), con man (most assuredly), misapproriator of Kickstarter funds (you admitted to it Kenny with an interview published on a blog) and general ass. Who will be Kenny's knight in shining armor, willing to put their own reputation on the line so he may thieve (theoretically) from the gaming community again. Jolly? Er, no. Larry? Won't happen. Marc. Perhaps.

Kickstarter - Spinward Traveller (TV Pilot - Ken Whitman) - Now We Know how it Ends

You weren't expecting to actually see the end of the TV Pilot, were you? No, silly! This is about the End Credits for Spinward Traveller. You know, the part when you are at the movies you walk out on in the rush to get to the bathroom before the line forms.

Yep, that's our Kenny. Always rushing to get things finished, even when they aren't hardly even started.

Oh, you so silly Kenny! Next you'll be showing the opening credits. Then, maybe the sound clip of a blaster rifle cribbed from some 15 year old sci-fi show. Are you sharing notes with Gareth? He was going to go all "transmedia." Maybe you could do the closing credits for Far West. Sure it's a game book, but with all of your experience making pencil dice (or rather, making money from selling nonexistent pencil dice) you two are a natural fit.

Ken Whitman Feels the Need to Zing the Blackburns's Deceased Daughter (Edited w/ Update From Ken's Feed for Context)

Ken is, if nothing else, consistent. He's referenced the Blackburn's deceased daughter in the past (never in a nice manner) and has decided to do so yet again in an effort to defend a Facebook account that a third party assumed was yet another Whit / Ken Facebook account (I can easily identify 3 but I haven't dug deep). I do NOT know if the account in question was / is an account created by Ken Whitman. We'll give the benefit of the doubt, as there is a large amount of doubt without evidence proving otherwise.

Why Ken felt the need to bring up the Blackburn's deceased daughter can only be answered by Ken himself.

(Where did someone say someone impregnated Ken's daughter?)

(Is this Ken's daughter?  If so, as a Harvard grad she should spend some time editing Ken's posts)

I cropped out the pic of Ken holding / hugging his daughter. Ken is a lot of things, but his family does not deserve this shit and Ryan Pitts is out of place with this. Not saying Ken's update on Kickstarter was right, nor was he right to accuse Jolly, but as a parent I can see where Ken is coming from.

Dear Backers. We have set a new release date for August 1, 2017. Of course we hope to get your project to you way before that date, but would rater (sp) surprise you then disappoint you again. Sorry it has taken so long, there have been many sit (sp) backs in my life, and there are a few backers that actually follow and harass me online, effecting my ability to make a living and produce this product. Although their actions are highly illegal it it (so nice I said it twice)  very difficult to enforce laws across state lines without spending money (and hard for State Attorney Generals to find you when you keep moving apparently), AND I would prefer to spend said money on this project instead. Some of these harassment include copywrite (sp)   infringement, libel, slander, contacting employers, contacting loved ones, and even contact (sp) my children. So please, if you have a problem with me, contact me at kenwhitman@kenwhitman.com, OR at least be civilized and use our current court system if you believe I have wronged you in anyway. There are much better ways of handing a situation then cyberstalking, (comma not needed) and harassing my loved ones. I have updated the IMDB page tonight, however it will take a few days to fix itself. I will update you when I have downloads for you guys. My sincerest apology for letting you down on the timeline, BUT I am going to finish this project. I have NOT given up and you will see this wonderful project. If you would like to ask questions about the project below, please feel free to post them. I will most likely only answer questions I feel help clarify information about this project. Currently to date my average hourly rate come to a little over $3.17 an hour. (still vastly overpaid and I doubt the actual number) Q. Have you been involved an any other Fundraiser sense (WTF) your trouble her (sigh) on Kickstarter. A. No, I decided to work on these projects and will never create another fundraise (r)for any project until my current ones are completed. Q. Do you currently produce, direct or act in movies. A. Yes. That is how I make my living. Q. Have you contemplated suicide because of your financial (sp)  situation and personal problems.  A. Yes. If you have ever been cyberstalked, or have dozens of web sites dedicated to your failure, it does get a bit depressing and over whelming. If it we (sp) not for the support of a few friends, and the fact I have two wonderful children, I probably would have taken the cowards (sp) way out. But they believe in me, so I guess i have no choice but to get this project finished and done with. Q. How is your relationship with Marc Miller. A. Strained but okay.   He believes in this project and gives me word of encouragement to finish it up. Q. Will we actually see a finished project. A. Yes. There you have it folks. Ken Whitman, uncut.
