OSR News Site Goes Live - OSR TODAY

Looking for one stop shopping for the events going on in the OSR (and I'm sure, some of the more major events in RPG gaming in general)?

OSR TODAY is the site to bookmark. Hell, I'll probably make it my homepage I made it my homepage, just so I'm sure I'm keeping The Tavern up to date.

It's being run by my podcasting partner in crime, +Jason Paul McCartan .

Jason, now that this project is live, it's time to get our OSR podcast on the virtual airwaves :)

  1. You'd think they could do a little work with the CSS to make it a look a little more "Old Timey."

    1. True, I could make it three column, 8 point font, and write everything in High Gygaxian. But that'd bread the usability of the site.

The look of the site is still in flux right now. I'm much more interested in getting content out so that people can get use out of the site that worry about it looking exactly perfect. It's going to take some time to find it's final look and that requires me messing around with the entire site. Right now it's functional and does what it says on the side of the tin, so I'm happy enough with it.

    1. And a great site it is too. I've made plenty of use of it in the past, and hope to continue to do so. But just because someone else has done a thing doesn't mean that someone else can't do a thing like it. The point of OSRToday is to aggregate content for the most part, rather than create original content. The format and approach is also set up less like a personal blog and more like an actual news site.

    3. While that's not out of the question, I think that our approaches and intentions are very much different from each other and may not mesh that well.

  3. Hope you have a newsfeed of all the Kickstarters that I won't back.

    1. While there will be Kickstarter reporting, it's going to be pretty neutral in tone. After all, you've got Tenkar to give you the list of that stuff...
