I have a copy of the original that I bought during the early days of the D20 deluge of products. It has a $5 price sticker on it so I think you overpaid. I never read it because it has a confusing layout. It is a digest sized booklet printed sideways with no page numbers. Every page feels crammed. There is no art. It also promotes the Adventure Block Card system (ABCs) and comes with 8 ABCs (little monster and treasure cards I think). It has one dungeon level in the centerfold of the digest.
