Maybe darts are in a special section continued on the next page? Yeah, I like the layout, too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like 3e with the crit multiplier removed. Oh, and shields give +2 AC now. That's an improvement.
ReplyDeleteIt's too complicated. The fault of modernist D&D-3e (at least) and onward-is that it encourages the players to misfocus their intellectual energy.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a clean, simple, but meaty weapons chart page. This is the first 5e thing that made me think, "heh, I like it."
ReplyDeletenot fond of the textured background, and some of the weapons tags seem dodgy to me, but layout-wise it's okay.
ReplyDeleteLooks okay, but I'd prefer not having the textured background behind text.
ReplyDeleteHuh. Bludgeoning, slashing, piercing? I wonder how that affects criticals or armour rules?
ReplyDeleteWhat no pole arms?
ReplyDeleteOther than that looks good, no spiked chains, no double swords, no crazy racial weapons. 3E was a mess of "wouldnt it be cool weapons" this looks more traditional list
I can see the weapons and warriors splat book from where I sit. No bastard swords (looks like the long sword might be taking it;s role as it properly should which is good), no halberds no glaives no pikes, no generic polearm, no slings, no darts.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! My eyes! Justify that body text, son...
ReplyDeleteInteresting. So I'd guess "versatile" means a weapon can be used one or two-handed? Thus, the higher damage listing.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking this list might be from the Starter Set...
ReplyDeleteLooks like great club should be listed as 'heavy', but isn't for some reason.
ReplyDeleteAfter closer examination, I think the trident is under powered. I'm hoping the PHB will have more exotic weapons.
ReplyDeleteNo pole arms and no slings, sad day for fighters and halfings.
