Bundle of Holding - DCC RPG Horror (7 Goodman Games Titles for 9.95)

While I find the DCC RPG interesting, and very playable at conventions, I have consistently found the value of the various DCC RPG adventures to have value beyond the DCC game. I've been converting DCC adventures to Swords & Wizardry on the fly for years.

DCC Horror is a current bundle at Bundle of Holding. You get 7 DCC RPG Horror Adventures published by Goodman Games for 9.95. That is what I call    "a bargain" ;)

Adventurer! This DCC Horror Bundle presents spoooky .PDF ebooks for Dungeon Crawl Classics, the Goodman Games tabletop fantasy roleplaying game. Though many DCC modules present sword-and-sorcery scenarios of gold and glory, in 2015 Goodman branched out (oozed out?) to produce annual horror scenarios – often tied to Halloween – that throw standard DCC fantasy characters into nightmarish pocket dimensions, Cthulhoid laboratories, Frankensteinian towers, abomination-haunted coffin ships, and cursed wedding receptions. Slip any of these digital adventures (for character levels 0 through 6) into your regular campaign as a trick, and with the right attitude everyone will eat them up like a treat.

Note: These modules require the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG Core Rulebook, which is not included in this offer.

Dungeon Crawl Classics Horror module The Web of All-TormentFor just US$9.95 you get all seven titles in our DCC Horror Collection (retail value $42) as DRM-free ebooks, including the zero-level "funnel" campaign kickoffs Creep, Skrag, Creep! and They Served Brandolyn Red, the low-level adventures Shadow Under Devil's Reef, The Corpse That Love Built, It Consumes!, and The Web of All-Torment, and the level-6 module The Sinister Sutures of the Sempstress.

Deal of the Day - Sly Flourish's Fantastic Locations

I'm a fan of system-neutral, or system-agnostic, settings. Less crunch and more fluff are winning strategies for me in such cases, and I strongly suspect that Sly Flourish's Fantastic Locations will fit that bill.

Sly Flourish's Fantastic Locations is Today's Deal of the Day at DTRPG, and is discounted from 15 bucks to 6 bucks for the bargain inclined.

Sly Flourish’s Fantastic Locations is a book, available in PDF and print-on-demand, that gives you twenty system-agnostic locations to drop into your favorite fantasy roleplaying game. Each location builds on a fantastic theme, such as a mysterious ancient structure under the ice, a cursed castle of a mad king, a fallen celestial fortress, and a dwarven mine that cracked into the tomb of a dead god. Each location includes artwork by Brian Patterson of D20Monkey. Sometimes this artwork takes the form of maps. Sometimes it's an overlook of a specific location.

These sites and structures aren’t full adventures. Instead, you and your players build your own stories in these fantastic locations, then you populate them with the monsters that fit your story.

Kickstarter - The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg

The secret arts of the Dungeon Master, the 2nd oldest RPG dungeon ever created, and an essential sourcebook for any fantasy campaign.

Let me start by saying I was gifted a copy of The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg earlier this year from a prior print run, and The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg is an amazing piece of history. I'm happy that I have it on my gaming shelves.

So, what is The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg?

  • It's a guide to the secret art of the Dungeon Master - philosophy, techniques, and tricks - with gems of wisdom from the people who invented Dungeons & Dragons. And...
  • A rediscovered ten-level mega-dungeon filled with mystery, suspense, monsters, and hidden treasures (including a complete 5e adaptation PDF). And...
  • A history of RPG dungeons. And...
  • An official Blackmoor™ setting - the longest-running fantasy RPG campaign.
  • Full-color reproductions of all ten levels of the original 1973 Tonisborg Dungeon maps, complete with dungeon keys.
  • Updated dungeon maps and keys for ease of play.
  • Greg Svenson explains how the dungeon came about and why it's a bridge between past and present.
  • Extensive play guidelines teach you how to make Tonisborg rise again as a real-life experience for you & your players, improve your DM skills, and have more fun.
  • A set of historically accurate rules ideal for developing an original-style dungeon adventure campaign - or use your own preferred rules.
  • Additional sections cover spells, exotic creature types, treasures, and other material - an essential source for any campaign.
You can snag The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg for 60 bucks in softcover and 100 bucks in hardcover. Both include the Secrets of Blackmoor video on demand (an excellent documentary). I'd honestly be in for the Tonisborg hardcover if I didn't already own it.

DTRPG Sale - HYPERBOREA and more at 33% Off!

There is a sale running at DTRPG, and the discount for the items included is pretty deep - 33%. Yes, it's PDF only, but such is always the way of sales at DTRPG.

OSR-wise, the strongest titles are from Jeff Talanian and his recent release of HYPERBOREA (aka AS&SH 3rd Edition).

I may be missing an adventure or two. Time to fill the gaps ;)

Humble Bundle - Deathwatch and Rogue Trader RPG Bundle

My return to gaming was via Fantasy Grounds and the Warhammer Dark Heresy RPG rules. Suffice it to say, I have a certain weakness for the various sci-fi rulesets in the Warhammer 40k universe.

Today's Humble Bundle highlights the Warhammer 40k Deathwatch and Rogue Trader RPG Book Bundle.

25 bucks get you both Core Rulebooks and a shit-ton of support material. I'm calling 25 bucks the sweet spot, as you get 40 titles plus a coupon.

Playing RPGs is a Cost-Effective Pastime

Playing RPGs is a Cost-Effective Pastime
So...this will most definitely be the wrong audience here, but I'm hoping that there is some ancillary value to pointing this out (show your friends?): Playing RPGS is an inexpensive hobby/pastime.

Sure, some of us spend heaps of money on this hobby, but 99.9% of what we "waste" our money on isn't necessary to have fun playing RPGs. Sure, I have lots of books and enough dice to outfit a good percentage of NTRPG attendees if needed, but what I actually need for my average game...

.......A set of dice, Pad of Paper, and a pencil.....

That's it, less than 10 bucks, but could be as low as maybe $2....yes, $2. Now a new player probably wants a copy of the appropriate Player's Handbook and a PC sheet (you can just use the pad of paper though). Assume we'll go expensive here and spend $30 for a PHB, but there are free rulesets out there. Off the top of my head I'm thinking abut the HackMaster Basic book.

Realistically we've got a range of $2-$50 to get in on the ground floor of playing RPGs....but this ground floor is HUGE. If you just want to have fun with your buddies slinging dice this hobby can be one big-assed Ranch House (i.e. all one floor!)

Seriously though, I got a few years of weekly gaming out of HackMster Basic and while I did buy a map board, tokens (I used cheap tokens) and markers.....yes, I did a bit more than that, but the cheap stuff is what I used the most. All in all, as a GM, I was in less than $100. Even if we conservatively say we only gamed 3 hours a time every-other weekend (we gamed almost every weekend for 3-4 hours), and we only got one year's worth of entertainment .....as a GM playing RPGs cost me $0.78 an hour, and if I was "just" a player maybe $0.39.

Now some of the dice I use are decades old and most are at least five years old (I keep buying dice that I don't use, but that's more a me problem), and the rules I used are free now. In my current gaming group the printed books were under $10 and the ruleset themselves....again decades old. Even if I was to add in buying some character minis, and paint for said minis, I would be highly surprised if my RPG hobby realistically cost me over $0.50 an hour to partake in.

There are many, many other aspects about playing RPGS that I could hit on, but I thought I'd really focus in one just the financial aspect. There are plenty of aspects that can make a game more expensive (purchasing adventures, buying pre-made terrain, etc.) but the fundamentals are real cost-effective and most of the more expensive stuff isn't needed and there are always alternatives!

TL;DR Getting into playing Role-Playing Games does not have to be an expensive proposition and is actually a cost-effective pastime.

Deal of the Day - FlexTale Infinite Adventures Volume 1: Western Realm of Aquilae (System Neutral)

We've had a nice streak of OSR usable Deals of the Day, and today is no different.

Today's Deal of the Day is FlexTale Infinite Adventures Volume 1: Western Realm of Aquilae (System Neutral). Normally 9.99 in PDF, until tomorrow morning at 11 AM Eastern, it is on sale for 2 bucks.

Summary

Contains 25 significant points of interest (POI).  Each one is designed to be interesting enough for at least an entire gaming session, if not an entire multi-session arc, or even an entire campaign.  Each POI could be its own book :)

Each POI is designed to be immediately usable in any fantasy TTRPG, in any campaign setting, with zero to little preparation.

The entire book has been designed from the ground up to support and enable solo adventuring.

Also contains universally-usable mechanics, guidelines, tables, and general resources for all points of interest in a fantasy TTRPG campaign.

Zero Prep, System-Agnostic

Designed to be immediately usable in any fantasy TTRPG, all Infinite Adventures books require zero prep time.

What is This Thing?

FlexTale Infinite Adventures is a concept that applies the Infinium Game Studio approach to points of interest on a fantasy TTRPG map.  Detailed descriptions, endless permutations of things to keep things fresh, easy-to-use tables and resources, and plenty of ideas and inspiration.

This book is the first in a series describing the various Points of Interest (POI) in the Western Realm of Aquilae.  Though it was created with this setting in mind, everything in this book was designed to be system- and setting-agnostic.

Inside, you'll find:

  • Discovery, including read-aloud text, "Why You Might Come Here", "So You Find Yourself Here", Hooks, and more.
  • Activities, including Adventure Snippets, Quests, Secrets, Threats, and more.
  • Location information, including a heatmap / location guide for the POI's presence in the Realm of Aquilae.
  • Rumors & Lore table with true, partially true, and false stories about the POI.
  • Events and Quirks, describing unique phenomena that might occur as you explore.
  • More interesting for players.  Easier to run for D/GMs.  Full, out of the box support for solo players.
  • And above all: NOT BORING!

Contents

Inside, you'll find:

  • 149 tables
  • 35 FlexTables (each one 4 tables in one)
  • 37 pages of Utility Tables: quickly and dynamically generate entire dungeon maps, traps, poisons, diseases, curses, treasure, and spells.
  • "Jump Right In" introduciton describing exactly how to use this book based on your needs as a G/DM
  • Dedicated discussion on how to use this book as a solo adventurer
  • Creature Modifiers to quickly make even the most ho-hum, boring common monster more interesting and unique
  • Much, much more!

Points of Interest

Each of the following gets 4 full dedicated pages of description, tools, variability, and resources.  With the tables provided, any one of these POI represents tens of thousands of possible combinations of use in your game!

  3. Aquifers of Charnel Heights
  4. Armory of Armies
  5. Army of the Damned

Deal of the Day - Low Fantasy Gaming Deluxe Edition

I played in a Low Fantasy Gaming campaign a few years back and it was a blast. It kind of made me think of what 5e would have been if it hewed closer to its old-school roots.

For 4 bucks, Low Fantasy Gaming Deluxe Edition is a steal (normally 20 bucks in PDF, it is the Deal of the Day until tomorrow morning at 11 AM Eastern, so there is still time).

Low Fantasy Gaming is a tabletop RPG built for gritty adventures in low or moderate magic settings. It has simple rules, dangerous combat, flexible PC customisation, and mysterious, unpredictable magic. Designed for short, episodic adventures in sandbox worlds, LFG provides the mechanics and tables needed for easy GM improvisation. It’s a heady mix of the best old school, modern, and new game design, wrapped around a familiar d20 core.

Main Features

  • Full Colour and B&W Line Art versions.
  • 9 Classes: Artificer, Barbarian, Bard, Cultist, Fighter, Monk, Ranger, Rogue & Magic User; only two of which involve magic.
  • 12th Level Max eliminates the most powerful spells, and keeps the mightiest monsters scary.
  • Unique Features: every 3rd level design your own PC ability in conjunction with your GM. Don't want to make your own? Choose from 36 examples instead.
  • Roll Equal or Under for attribute checks (including degrees of success) makes every stat point matter (rather than just the modifiers).
  • Skills provide access to a level based Reroll Pool, smoothing the fickleness of d20 probability distribution.
  • Willpower & Perception attributes replace Wisdom.
  • Diminishing Luck attribute replaces saving throws and powers some Martial Exploits.
  • Minor, Major & Rescue Exploits on top of damage, not in lieu, promote improvised stunts and moments of greatness.
  • Dangerous Combat: Dropping to zero hp requires a roll on the Injuries & Setbacks table and healing is delayed by 1d3 minutes (magical or otherwise). Players don't roll to find out if their PC is All Dead or Mostly Dead until the battle ends and someone checks the body.
  • Party Retreat & Chase rules allow the GM to throw whatever makes sense at the party, unshackling them from balanced encounters and quarantined zones.
  • 5 minute Short Rests allow PCs to attempt Willpower checks to recover hit points and class abilities, encouraging the party to push on rather than camp.
  • Long Rests take 1d6 days (or 1d4 in a safe, comfortable environment), mitigating the nova, rest, repeat problem for adventures with long periods between battles (eg: wilderness treks).
  • Dark & Dangerous Magic tests and Divine Rebuke tests make all spell casting inherently uncertain. No at-will, teleport, mind reading or resurrection magic. Magic Users are less reliant on spells, proficient in one handed weapons and light armour.
  • Evocative Spells: Spells have been tweaked and renamed, eg: Silent Image, Invisibility, Magic Missile and Hold Monster are instead Shadows & Dust, A Wisp Unseen, Lash of Unerring Pain and Crush of the Warp.
  • Rare Magic Items, with obvious and discreet attunements, that unlock as their owners level up.
  • GM Tables for Weather, Exploration Events, Random Encounters, Traps, Treasure, Disease, Madness, Tavern Brawls, Hirelings, Mass Battle, Naval Combat, NPC Quirks, Rival Adventurers, Blackpowder, and more.
  • 130+ Monsters including effective Boss Monster options (eg: Off Turn Attacks match the party's action economy, and Stronger Luck grants saves even when a save is not normally permitted), plus Custom Monsters guide.
  • Online Play Support: custom LFG character sheets are available for online VTTs Roll20, Fantasy Grounds MoreCore, Foundry, and Tabletop Simulator!
  • Open Game Content: 99% of LFG text is "Open Game Content" under the Open Game Licence. Want to make your own adventures or expansions for LFG and sell them? Go right ahead!
  • Character Sheets: Illustrated Colour and B&W character sheets (including a B&W Form Fillable PDF) are available as free downloads via DTRPG.
  • GM Screen: 4 panel GM Screen PDF is available for free download via DTRPG.
  • Starter Adventures: Three starter adventures are available for free download via DTRPG (Revelry in Northgate, Call of the Colossus, and Gift of the Silent God).
  • Rules as Guidelines. The GM is the final authority on all LFG rules, which are expected to be tweaked to fit table preferences.

Deal of the Day - City of Great Lunden

Glynn Seal does amazing work. All of it. Mapping, art, writing, settings, adventures - if Glynn's name is on it, you know it is good.

Today's Deal of the Day is Glynn's City of Great Lunden. Until tomorrow at 11 AM Eastern, it is on sale for 5.56.

The City of Great Lunden is a city setting for use with old school roleplaying games. It is designed to be used alongside The Midderlands setting and hence is 'The Midderlands Compatible'. Game stats are presented for use with Swords & Wizardry Complete, which means they are easily adopted for old school games/retroclones. Much of the content is designed to be as system-neutral as possible, so feel free to use it with any fantasy game system you like.

This book DOES NOT require The Midderlands setting, but it is greatly enhanced with it. There might be references to things found in the other books. Don't worry if you don't have those previous settings books, you can still get them here.

The download files contain:

  • 224-page book detailing the city.
  • Map of the entire City of Great Lunden and its environs
  • Enlarged map of the Inner Wards
  • Enlarged map of the Sewer Network
  • Enlarged map of the Rooftops of part of the Inner Wards (Rooftop Chase map)
  • Enlarged Northeast quadrant of the City and its environs
  • Enlarged Northwest quadrant of the City and its environs
  • Enlarged Southeast quadrant of the City and its environs
  • Enlarged Southwest quadrant of the City and its environs
  • Ward map
  • PDF containing 6 pregenerated characters feature in the book

Humble Bundle - RPG Legends: Baldur's Gate & Beyond

I was just thinking that I needed to explore some of the recent classics in computer RPGs. In my mind, that means the era of IBM PCs, instead of my old Commodore C-64 ;)

What pops up on my feed? I new bundle from Humble Bundle - RPG Legends: Baldur's Gate and Beyond. My classics are here!

There are three price points, depending on your budget (OSX folks are in luck too!)

20 bucks give you as pictured above. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is currently 50 bucks on Steam with decent reviews. Of course, you get all of the other titles too.

10 bucks give you everything except for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

For a measly buck, you get Planescape: Torment EE as well as Icewind Dale EE.

Looks like I'll be lost in nostalgia for a few weeks ;)

Kickstarter - The Valley Out of Time for S&W DCC MCC Part 5&6 FINAL!

Sometimes MORE literally is better. In this case, we are talking about more Skeeter Green. No. I've known Skeeter for years. I consider him a friend. I've also been nearly violated by Skeeter (listen to one of the livestreams where Skeeter has guested on Talking Crit and you'll probably hear the story told), so pissing off Skeeter might not be a "good thing". Thankfully, I've enjoyed the prior parts to the Valley out of Time and I'm eagerly awaiting parts 5 and 6 to wrap this fucker up. Now I'll need to find time to run them ;)

I'm backing The Valley Out of Time for S&W DCC MCC Part 5&6 FINAL! for the Swords & Wizardry flavor in Print & PDF. 18 bucks plus shipping, I think is a steal.

The Valley Out of Time is a series of 'zine-sized adventures from SGP. This valley can be placed in any ongoing campaign and is set in the "Neanderthal Period" of tech development. Huge monsters – both dinosaurs and otherwise – and devolved humanoids plague the area, and only the hardiest of adventurers will prevail! This series of adventures borrows heavily from classic dinosaur art, books, and movies; if you have ever seen a classic Frank Frazetta or Roy Krenkel painting, or read or watched The Land that Time Forgot, The Lost World, Journey to the Center of the Earth, One Million Years B.C., The Flintstones, any Ray Harryhausen film, etc., you are going to feel right at home.

All the books in the series are 5 1/2" x 8" saddle-stitch (stapled) or perfect-bound (glued) "zine size" offerings, ranging from 20 to 30 (or more!) pages. The price for the books is based off calculations for the 20-page book, so the larger books are just more content! Enjoy!

I Get to Roll Up a Psionicist

I Get to Roll Up a Psionicist

OK, this is my second go because I didn't care for the 1st one.*

I don't want to post any spoilers for my fellow player who I know sometimes reads these posts, but I'm getting the opportunity to create a new PC...read that however you want to.

I managed to talk my GM into letting me create a psionic character, which means I finally have a reason to read the Basic Psionics Handbook. The GM was a little hesitant, thinking that he will have to re-work the entire "campaign", but one of my fellow players was like, "....but do you really?"

That kind of struck a nerve with me, and not in a bad way. As a GM, I get it.....someone wants to bring in this whole other thing into your game and it's natural to think about all the stuff you need to do to accommodate, or I even dare say cater to, that player in order to make it work. As a GM I think we all default to how our campaigns are these little well-balanced masterpieces and if we introduce something new it'll wreck everything.

Clearly laughable in this particular case because these sessions aren't "masterpieces" and our GM is introducing new shit all of the time. Just an observation, not a dig. If the game wasn't fun I wouldn't be playing.

Game balance is important, but I also feel it's more important within the party. Everyone needs to feel like they contribute and get an opportunity to "do their thing" or to even shine occasionally. If I have a PC that can just go in Mind Blasting everything in sight, well that's unbalanced.....

......but after reading the rules that's not really something I'd be able to do. The rules, so far, seem pretty balanced. Nothing like what I remember from 1st Edition, not that I ever rolled up a PC with the requisite stats for those rules antyway.

Now I'm totally thinking of tweaking things to be a great supporting character. Not going to be having my moment in the middle of a dungeon combat and in many ways this PC might be boring, but I'll have fun checking out the rules.

Besides, if my PC gets too powerful I'm sure the locals will rise up and a mob will tear her apart for being a "witch".

*
I had a long-assed post about this whole Defamation suit and why I thought it was bullshit, but IANAL and if you're interested you can look that shit up yourself. I'm of the opinion that this is clearly a SLAPP suit and somebody either has a lawyer that will do anything for some more billable hours or said somebody has more money than sense because if I hire a professional to advise me I generally want to follow that advice...that I paid for.

For now though.....

Bundle of Holding - Psi-punk

FUDGE
was one of the first, free to use and able to publish to rulesets I remember finding on the internet "back in the day". It is literally the roots of the Fate RPG system

I mention this because the Psi-punk deal on Bundle of Holding is based on FUDGE. At 7.95 for 7 titles, I'll be buying this just to see the FUDGE system in action ;)

Adventurer! This new Psi-punk Quick Deal presents Psi-punk, the psionic-cyberpunk tabletop roleplaying game from Accessible Games. Based on the Fudge universal system, Psi-punk takes you to the North American Union of 2096, where ghosts, psiborgs, technomancers, and soul jackers walk among us. To compete, you'll build your ideal body, implant a few high-tech devices, sign up with a megacorp or government, and discover what it means to be more than human.

Everyone Games. This new Quick Deal ties in to Everyone Games, an online event (30 Sept - 01 Oct 2022) that promotes accessibility options for partially-sighted, blind, and otherwise disabled gamers. Psi-punk designer Jacob Wood helps coordinate Everyone Games. "Games are for absolutely everyone," says Jacob. "Not every game is designed for every person, but I believe every person should have the opportunity to find a game."

Kickstarter - Board Game D20 Delving

Ah, D20 Delving. I was a very early backer the first time around, which did not fund, due in part to the trolling of a certain individual that will not be named (no - it's not "Candyman" ;)

The Board Game D20 Delving Kickstarter is nearly funded this time around, with over two weeks to go in funding, and I'm excited. Don Semora is a good game designer and an honorable man, and I'll take that combination any day. As for releasing on target, Don has his own printing facility, so the number of things that can go wrong out of his actual control is minimized.

Did I mention Tim Kask doing voicework for it?

I'm a backer of The Board Game D20 Delving Kickstarter at $120, which included the Krampus expansion pack, but you can get the game for as little as 70 bucks for the base game.

Humble Bundle - All About Tolkien Book Bundle

With Amazon's current Middle Earth "Masterpiece" the current talk of the internet (for good or ill, I haven't watched it yet and I'm unsure if I will), Tolkien is on the minds of many.

The All About Tolkien Book Bundle on Humble Bundle is likely not what the average buyer will expect. While it does NOT contain Tolkien fiction, it does include historical and biographical books on Tolkien, fiction that included his writings, and later fiction that was influenced by Tolkien.

Delve deeper into Middle-Earth and the art, life, and cultural impact of J. R. R. Tolkien! This expansive library features over two dozen books filled with entertaining explorations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, in-depth scholarly analysis of Tolkien’s mythology, fascinating biographies, and much more. Discover something new about one of the most influential authors of the 20th century, and help support Active Minds with your purchase!

LABYRINTH LORD second edition COMING Q1 2023

Times have changed, and so is Labyrinth Lord!

First released in 2007, Labyrinth Lord is the premier Basic/Expert compatible fantasy role-playing game. Back then "retro–clones" were a new concept, exemplified by Matt Finch's and Stewart Marshall's work on the first edition compatible game OSRIC.

We were treading new waters in pushing the limits of the Open Game License and available System Reference Documents from Wizards of the Coast. The rule of thumb at that time was to err on the side of caution to avoid publishing content that might be considered "art" rather than system.

Fast forward 15 years later, and the slew of additional games following the same path but in a less cautious manner has proven that some of the design choices made earlier are not necessary in the current state of the industry.

Coupled with being essentially out of the game publishing market for several years, it's clear that the time has come for Goblinoid Games to publish a new edition of the ever popular Labyrinth Lord game!

Labyrinth Lord, Second Edition

Game presentation will be updated to account for the new standards gamers expect. Things like experience tables, level rank titles, and other smaller changes originally made to avoid the perception of reproducing art, will all be brought to closer compatibility with the original Basic/Expert rules.

In addition, much of the rules presentation will be streamlined for easier reference at the table. This will be done while accounting for known errata.

What does the future hold?

Labyrinth Lord second edition is set for release in Q1 of 2023. Its release will be concurrent with a new solo adventure (the writing stage is currently almost finished). These products will be released directly to the public, not via any fundraising effort ahead of time.

Later, there will be a second edition of the Advanced Edition Companion, and if the public desires it, these books will be compiled to create a second edition of Advanced Labyrinth Lord. All editions will remain in print, but clearly labeled with our vendors as to which books are first or second edition.

Goblinoid Games will continue to publish additional adventures and other works regularly going forward.

I'm excited for this relaunch, and I hope many of you join me on this new adventure. Let's make the next 15 years of Labyrinth Lord even more groundbreaking than its early years.

New Crowdfunding - By Feather and Coop, a Zine for The Hero's Journey 2e (James Spahn)

It's no secret that James Spahn is virtually my brother from another mother. I just want to remind folk, as I am highlighting a new release for The Hero's Journey 2e. For those that don't know, The Hero's Journey is as close to James' ideal vision of an RPG as we'll likely ever see, and it's pretty amazing.

So what is By Feather and Coup? Well, as stated on this post's header, it's a zine for The Hero's Journey 2e.

By Feather and Coop is a small zine supplement for Barrel Rider Games' The Hero's Journey: Second Edition! It features a new character lineage (the Bantam - yes, you can play a chicken), new spells, heirlooms, and a small menagerie of creatures!

The final zine is around 25 pages, and features new art from Nicolas Giacondino!

The PDF is fully laid-out, art complete and ready to go! You'll get the PDF when you help GallantFund this item, with the option for a printed zine. The print edition of this zine will only be available from the GKG webstore. If you get the print+PDF edition, it can take up to 48 hours for your PDF to fulfill (it's a manual process on our end at this time.)

By Feather and Coup is 3.99 in PDF, 6.99 for the Print plus PDF.
