I've said this before, and I'll say it again - Gylnn Seal (AKA Monkeyblood) is one of the most skilled RPG professional creators in the business. Writing, artwork, mapping, layout, you name it - he's one of the best.
Ryecroft: A Dangerous Cemetery Crawl is Glynn's latest Kickstarter. While not explicitly set in the Midderlands, it will fit right in (or likely fit most any old-school setting.)
First things first - Glynn Seal is one of the most generous, both in his time and his work, creatives in the OSR, if not tabletop gaming as a whole. As a mapper, an artist, a creative, and a writer, in the field of OSR fantasy creation he has no peers. He is the very definition of the Renaissance Man, and I am very happy to call Glynn a friend.
After saying all that, Gylnn's Midderlands setting is probably THE setting in the OSR that I am dying to run. I've backed each of Glynn's Kickstarters, but if you haven't backed all of Glynn's Kickstarters, the currentThe Midderlands Bundle of Holding is the answer you've been waiting for.
Adventurer! This all-new Midderlands Bundle presents The Midderlands, the grim, green, grime-smeared old-school tabletop fantasy roleplaying campaign setting from MonkeyBlood Design. Designed by ENnie-winning writer-artist-cartographer Glynn Seal, the Midderlands setting is a green-hued, dark-fantasy, late-Middle Ages, early-Renaissance land based on Glynn's home in the United Kingdom, the Midlands. Many Midderlands locations are grounded in reality, others pure fantasy from the designer's fevered imagination. This atmospheric (not to say fetid) sandbox setting adapts easily to any Old School Revival rules set such as Old-School Essentials, Swords & Wizardry, and many other Dungeons & Dragons retroclones, or you can add any of the horrific Midderlands monsters, weird locations, and beautiful maps to your own campaign. (The sewers. We recommend the sewers.)
For just US$14.95 you get all three titles in our Starter Collection (retail value $60) as DRM-free ebooks, including the complete Midderlands OSR Setting and Bestiary corebook, The Midderlands Expanded, and The City of Great Lunden.
And if you pay more than the threshold price of $30.33, you'll level up and also get our entire Bonus Collection with seven more titles worth an additional $70, including Adventures in Great Lunden, Fighting Folk of the Haven Isles, Folk Magic of the Haven Isles, Bats of Saint Abbans, Chewer of Fingers, Behind the Walls, and Rivers and Lakes.

The City of Great Lunden is a city setting for use with old school roleplaying games. It is designed to be used alongside The Midderlands setting and hence is 'The Midderlands Compatible'. Game stats are presented for use with Swords & Wizardry Complete, which means they are easily adopted for old school games/retroclones. Much of the content is designed to be as system-neutral as possible, so feel free to use it with any fantasy game system you like.
This book DOES NOT require The Midderlands setting, but it is greatly enhanced with it. There might be references to things found in the other books. Don't worry if you don't have those previous settings books, you can still get them here.
The download files contain:
224-page book detailing the city.
Map of the entire City of Great Lunden and its environs
Enlarged map of the Inner Wards
Enlarged map of the Sewer Network
Enlarged map of the Rooftops of part of the Inner Wards (Rooftop Chase map)
Enlarged Northeast quadrant of the City and its environs
Enlarged Northwest quadrant of the City and its environs
Enlarged Southeast quadrant of the City and its environs
Enlarged Southwest quadrant of the City and its environs

It used to be, the trifecta of RPG systems one released a product for, hoping to cover all markets was Swords & Wizardry, Dungeons & Dragons 5e, and Pathfinder 1e. Frog God Games is no longer producing products for Pathfinder, and Glynn Seal has put the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG into that third position. Interesting turn of events.
Short FYI: I've known Glynn for a number of years. He produces amazing stuff for Swords & Wizardry and his Midderlands setting. If you haven't read any of his prior work, you really should.
Rancid Canyons of the Floating Death Sheep is a low level adventure available in three rule variants: Fifth Edition (5E), Swords & Wizardry* (S&W), and Dungeon Crawl Classics** (DCC) and therefore can be used in all retro-clones and old school role-playing games with little or no work.
The adventure features the following.
The detailed village of Yarrowbone featuring NPCs and 22 locations (can be used as a base for any future adventure).
Immersive NPC and building art.
Six pieces of cool cartography.
Three new juicy magic items.
Seven tricky new adversaries.
Five engaging mapped encounter locations.
Table of additonal adventure hooks.
Table of NPC names.
Information on fitting the adventure into the Lost Wyrld setting of The Midderlands.
I love drop-in pieces like this.
PDF for one system is 11 bucks. Print plus PDF (not including shipping) is about 28 bucks.
I'm in for the Print plus PDf myself, as Glynn's print products are second to none.

Glynn Seal / Monkeyblood Designs is quite simply one of my favorite creators of setting material and adventures in the OSR. Period. He has never, in my experience, released anything that was less than excellent in quality. I expect nothing less from his latest Kickstarter - The Bats of Saint Abbans.
Set in the Midderlands (but usable in pretty much any OSR setting) The Bats of Saint Abbans is a low-level adventure written for Swords & Wizardry (but suitable for any OSR system of your choice).
The adventure contains:
Details about the town of Saint Abbans, some of its useful NPCs, the Abbess and the monks that reside at the abbey-cathedral.
A random generator for creating additional abbey monks.
Adventure Flow and NPC Relationship charts.
Details of the abbey locations.
4x Handouts, 15x pages worth of maps
Appendices of Ecclesiastical Time and all the encounters that could happen during those times.
New class, spells, and items. 8 New creatures, including a Church Bat Generator.
NPC and Creature quick reference tables, NPC Gallery
Books 1 to 3 are fully indexed. Play Notes
Seven bucks for the PDF version, 20 for at-cost POD with PDFs, and 40 bucks for Special Edition print with PDFs. Note, the cost for physical copies does not include shipping.

I love everything that Glynn has put out for his Midderlands setting. It is, to put it quite simply, extremely useful and an easy read. Needless to say, his latest Kickstarter -Folk Magic of the Haven Isles I backed the moment I learned about it.
Folk Magic of the Haven Isles is a role-playing supplement for old school role-playing games. Its focus is on magicians, wizards and magic-users. The book is written for Swords & Wizardry and therefore can be used in all retro-clones and old school role-playing games with little or no work.
But I don't have or play any old school role-playing games. Is it still useful?
Absolutely. It is intended for any fantasy role-playing games to inspire and provide ideas for players and Game Masters alike. If you know what HD and Saving Throws are, you will be easily able to understand and adapt most of the rules-related content in this book.
If you know anything about The Midderlands fantasy setting, you will see information within the book that makes it directly usable with The Midderlands setting. It is 100% compatible.
If not, don't worry! You don't need to know anything. There is a glossary that explains what any unfamiliar (mainly geographical) words/terms are. In your own setting, you can just swap out place names.
An A5-sized (148mm wide x 210mm high OR Approx. 5.8" wide x 8.3" high) containing 60 interior pages comprising 19 pages of evocative, full colour illustrations.
14 Magic-User sub-classes, such as the Peller, Hermetic Magician, Demon Slave, Toadman, Spae Wife, Stitch Witch, Green Child, and Apple Queen/King. These sub-classes are 'overlays' that are intended to be used in conjunction with the magic-user class, giving them benefits, drawbacks and flavour.
16 Magic-User backgrounds such as the Arcane Gloombugger, Cultist, Goblin Stinkbinder, and Stone Tender. Unique and flavourful micro-stories that make your magician unique and explain how they came to practice magic.
7 Tomes (spellbook ideas) such as the Little Key of the Whole Art of Hydromancy. Ideas for spellbooks that can be the goals of magician's quests.
16 Magical Spells such as Gloomray, Transmute Lead into Gold, Enforce Queueing, and more. Usable in any old school game.
4 Oddities of the Haven Isles. Unusual objects, flora, and fauna such as the Mandrake and Wizard Hole.
Glynn "MonkeyBlood" Seal. To know him is to be in constant awe of his maps. Seriously, I don't think there is a better mapper in our community. Others certainly are skilled but Glynn has a certain quality - his maps simple jump out at you.
I'm Glynn Seal -- artist, writer, publisher, and 2019 ENnie-nominated and 2018 Gold ENnie Award-winning cartographer for The Midderlands setting for old school games. I've previously run four successful Kickstarter campaigns, and this will be the fifth.
Our previous campaign was called HandyMaps - Towns & Villages, and due to its success and the hugely positive feedback we received, we have created this campaign to provide some additional cards for buildings/structures.
So, we are creating set of twenty two (22), double-sided A5 cards showing beautifully illustrated and evocative elevations and floorplan layouts for fantasy-themed buildings/structures. The map cards can be used as player handouts or tools for game planning by Game Masters.
The cards will be double-sided in a handy A5 size (210mm high x 148mm wide OR 8.27" high x 5.83" wide) from 350gsm uncoated card stock (giving a nice matt finish, suitable for ink and pencil marking).
Each side will be professionally digitally printed with a single full colour elevation of the building to one side, and a black-inked floorplan to the reverse, all on a parchment style background.
The floorplan sides will all have a basic grid and minimal text labels (generally kept to suggested uses, floor/storey labels, and level change designations such as stairs and ladders), but NO title, room numbers, or compass allowing Game Masters to use them as they need for their campaigns.
"Double-sided, A5 town & village map card handouts by Gold ENnie award-winning cartographer, Glynn Seal. For all role-playing games."
Glynn Seal AKA Monkeyblood is one of my favorite, if not my actual favorite, independent producers of Old School Gaming content. The Midderlands is my favorite setting and Glynn's maps are simply spot-on perfection.
So, imagine my joy when I saw Glynn was making a Kickstarter simply to showcase his maps. Yep, I fond the Handymaps Kickstarter. Is it wrong to want to frame these?
12 bucks plus shipping for the print plus PDF. Note, the printed maps are double-sided. 22 bucks for 2 copies, so I - er, I mean, you, can display all of them at once.
You get a set of ten, double-sided A5 (5.85" wide x 8.27" high) map cards to be used as player handouts for quick village and town layouts for Game Masters.
