Let me say this outright - you are NOT snagging this bundle for random, probably worthless, Goodman Games 5e shovelware. There, I said it. Much of the 3rd party 5e content is shovelware. No, you are snagging this bundle for particular content - specifically Dark Tower, Monsters & Magic of Dark Tower, The Sunken Temple of Set (Dark Tower), Crypt of the Devil Lich, Monsters and Magic of Lankmar, and Grimtooth's Old School Traps. Actually, if you REALLY think of it, you are grabbing Dark Tower and Grimtooth's Old School Traps. For 12.99
Damn! Goodman is offering a HUGE bundle of stuff. Let me pull out my favorite picks: Grimtooth's Ultimate Traps Collection, How to Write Adventure Modules That Don't Suck, Grimtooth's Oldschool Traps, Tome of Adventure Vol 1 & 2, Adventurer's Almanac, GM Gems, PC Pearls, Dungeon Alphabet, Cthulhu Alphabet and the Monster Alphabet. Phew! This is well worth the money!
Teach an old Dungeon Master new tricks with our most epic DM bundle yet! Surprise your companions and foes with new techniques, traps, and tactics from hot books and guides. Create your own original campaigns, get inspired by How to Write Adventure Modules That Don't Suck, and gain access to a limited-quantity supply of Grimtooth's Trapsylvania hardback books! Get everything you need to embark on an epic journey together, and help support The Trevor Project with your purchase!
If you are an OSR gamer, Pathfinder, or even 5e GM, there are bucketloads of goodness in FIFTY Dungeons Goodman Games Bundle. These are from the era when DCC, AKA Dungeon Crawl Classics, was a line of incredible adventures and NOT the name of an RPG.
I own much of what's included in this bundle in print and/or PDF, and it ranges from Good to GEMS! The Adventure Begins & The Adventure Continues are two of my favorite adventure compendium ever. You can't go wrong with either bundle, IMHO.
We've resurrected our May 2022 Fifty-Dungeon Megabundle with nearly five dozen tabletop fantasy roleplaying adventures in the original d20 System Dungeon Crawl Classics line from Goodman Games. From 2003 to 2007 Dungeon Crawl Classics captured the Old School Revival spirit in dozens of scenarios published for Dungeons & Dragons 3.x and its successors under the Open Game License. (In 2012, Goodman published a free-standing DCC RPG, which has a separate product line that is not part of this offer.)
This revived May 2022 offer once again presents a ton of .PDF ebooks of DCC scenarios from the entire d20 System line, arranged to ramp smoothly from 1st to 21st level. Each adventure stands alone, is world-neutral, and works great with D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and their descendants. Written by popular designers like Monte Cook (Numenera, Ptolus) and Robert J. Schwalb (Shadow of the Demon Lord), these DCC adventures are 100% dungeon crawls, with bloody combat, intriguing mazes, and no NPCs who aren't meant to be killed. The monsters you fear, the traps you dread, and the secret doors you know must be there somewhere – they're all here, all of them, plus the Castle Whiterock campaign, the Gazeteer of the Known Realms setting books, and play aids – an incredible US$572.50 retail value for a spectacular bargain price.
For just US$19.95 you get all twenty-nine titles in this revived offer's Low-Level Collection (retail value $254.50) as DRM-free ebooks, including – wow, let's see – the two 20-adventure compilations The Adventure Begins and The Adventure Continues, plus ten scenarios for 1st-level player characters, thirteen adventures for levels 3-6, and four play aids (Dungeon Geomorphs, Interludes, the DM Screen, and Treasure Maps). These alone can occupy the busiest group of players for years.
And if you pay more than the threshold price of $40.34, you'll level up and also get this revival's entire High-Level Collection with twenty-nine more titles worth an additional $318, including the six-scenario Saga of the Dragon Cult, eight adventures for levels 7-9, eleven high-level epics for levels 10 through 21, the Gazetteer of the Known Realms setting, and the complete 700-page Castle Whiterock campaign supplement.

It's strange. I kinda missed the whole D20/3.0 Era of gaming. Sure, I picked up the core books upon release and snagged the random Forgotten Realms release, but I stepped away from gaming from 1997 to 2007, give or take a few months. When I did return to gaming, the OSR had firmly taken root, even if it was young. The rest, as they say, is history.
This is a long, roundabout way of saying I missed these Goodman Games D20 Monster Guide releases when they were fresh. Hell, this is the first I've heard of them, and it makes them a tempting pick-up.
Of course, the Minor Threats Collection is less interesting, I think, than the Major Threats Collection, but you can't get the second without getting the first.
Adventurer! This all-new Goodman d20 Monster Guides Bundle presents 13 big d20 System monster sourcebooks from Goodman Games. Published in 2006-2009 for D&D 3.x, these inventive and detailed treatises describe, in 32 to 128 pages each, adversaries both major (beholders, liches, rakshasas) and minor (velociraptors, wererats). As d20 System supplements, these d20 Guides work as-is with Pathfinder 1E – and gamemasters of Fifth Edition and compatible "ampersand fantasy" systems can easily adapt the extensive discussions of monster physiology, social structure, culture, tactics, and campaign use. It's 770 pages of terrific monstrous classification, explication, and interpretation for an unbeatable bargain price.
For just US$9.95 you get all six d20 System monster sourcebooks in our Minor Threats Collection (retail value $46) as DRM-free ebooks, including Doppelgangers, Dragonkin, T-Rex, Treants, Velociraptors, and Wererats.
And if you pay more than the threshold price of $18.98, you'll level up and also get our entire Major Threats Collection with seven more sourcebooks worth an additional $60, including Beholders, Drow, Fey, Liches, Rakshasas, Vampires, and Werewolves.

Bundle of Holding has offered out-of-print RPG material for years, but this is the first time I can remember a bundle for D&D 4e being offered.
For those that don't know, Goodman Games was one of the few companies that signed up for the D&D 4e Game System License (GSL) and were able to offer official support for D&D 4e.
I was unaware that there is a D&D 4e retro-clone out there in the internet wild. Color me very surprised ;) https://sanglorian.github.io/orcus/
Adventurer! This all-new Goodman Games 4E Bundle presents tabletop roleplaying supplements and adventures published by Goodman Games in 2008-2010 for the Fourth Edition (2007-2013) of Dungeons & Dragons from Wizards of the Coast. Goodman's modules, character sourcebooks, and bestiaries showcase the appeal of a system that still attracts enthusiasts on Reddit, Discord, and on virtual tabletops.
The sourcebooks and modules in this rich Goodman Games bundle require the 2007 Dungeons & Dragons Fourth Edition rulebooks from Wizards of the Coast, which are not included in this offer. Orrrr you could use Sanglorian's free Orcus 4E-compatible retroclone rulebooks, and consult the Offline Compendium for reference. The titles in this offer won't work well with other editions of the D&D rules.
For just US$17.95 you get all eight titles in our Player Collection (retail value $85) as DRM-free ebooks, including Azagar's Book of Rituals; two Forgotten Heroes guides – Scythe & Shroud and Fang, Fist, and Song; four Hero's Handbooks – Dragonborn, Eladrin, Tiefling, and Immortal Heroes; and the 4E Character Codex.
From Here to There adventure collection from Goodman Games for D and D Fourth EditionAnd if you pay more than the threshold price of $28.36, you'll level up and also get our entire DM Collection with seven more titles worth an additional $68, including Blackdirge's Dungeon Denizens for 4E; three 4E module collections – In Search of Adventure, From Here to There, and Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer; the two Master Dungeons adventures – M1 Dragora's Dungeon and M2 Curse of the Kingspire; and the 4E DM Campaign Record.
Goodman Games has kindly provided purchasers of this offer a 20% discount code good through April 10, 2023 on most products bought from the Goodman Games online store. Your discount code will appear on your Wizard's Cabinet download page here on the Bundle site.

500 monsters for 5E & DCC RPG! Kickstarter backers receive a bonus monster! Epic full-color hardcover with PDF+VTT support!
I REALLY enjoy Goodman Games Kickstarters, even if I don't play 5e or the DCCRPG. Settings, modules, and such are just so easy to convert to the OSR system of your choice, even on the fly, that it makes such backing something I don't even need to think about before pulling the trigger.
Dungeon Denizens made me think for a few minutes before pulling the trigger.
The idea with the DCC RPG was that there WERE no standard monsters. Creatures were unique to the adventure they were found in. Orcs, goblins, giants, and the rest were kicked to the curb in favor of their more unique cousins.
Dungeon Denizens gives you 500 creatures for your DCC (or 5e) game, making them somewhat less unique I guess. Thus my hesitation. That being said, I AM backing at $49 for the print plus pdf book. Sure, there are add-ons that look cool, but I'll never use them.
Shit, it's from Goodman Games. I'm pretty sure I'll get my monies worth ;)

I've been told I don't mention The Tavern's LiveStreams often enough on the blog side to remind folks, but this time I'm going to recommend something other than The Tavern's Weekly Friday Night Livestream - I'm strongly recommending that you check out the Goodman Games Twitch Channel this Friday Night at 8 PM Eastern. Jim Kitchen will be hosting a charity auction for Aaron Koel.
Here's Jim's post from Facebook regarding the auction:
A friend of mine, Aaron Koelman, is currently fighting a battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Aaron's spent most of the last year undergoing grueling chemotherapy sessions and doing his best to win a battle that has some pretty steep odds.
Aaron's a single dad to an amazing little boy. His son means everything and when Aaron revealed his cancer to me in March one of the things we talked about was fatherhood, particularly in his current circumstances.
Aaron is trying to put together a college fund for his son. To help with that effort I've organized a charity auction next week on Friday. It will be a virtual auction on Twitch. Joseph Goodman has been kind enough to donate the space on his companies channel. (As well as some pretty amazing things!)
We will have a lot of RPG items, original art and some great and unique items. I am still working on collating donations but here's a list of fine people who have already donated:
Michael Badolato /NTRPG
Julian Bernick
Hector Cruz
Jen Brinkman & Bob Brinkman
David Baity
Joseph Goodman
Jon Hershberger
Kenneth Kessenger
Jim Kitchen
Doug Kovacs
Ian McGarty
Peter Mullen
Erol Otus
James Pozenel
Yorkus Rex
James Michael Spahn
Dak J. Ultimak
Loz The-Eye
If I have somehow missed you please send me an email, PM or smoke signal. Work has had me extremely busy and I worry I have missed something somewhere.
If you have zero interest in RPG's or original artwork then you can still help. Donations can be made via Jon Hershberger's company Black Blade Publishing. Donations can be sent to tacojohndm@yahoo.com via Paypal.
100% of all monies raised are going directly to Aaron. Winners of auction items will be pay shipping charges but no handling fees or premiums.
If you can skip a few coffees or a lunch for a week please know that it would mean a great deal to me. Aaron is a dear friend.
I'd like to add, that if you make a donation for the College Fund via Paypal via Black Blade Publishing at tacojohndm@yahoo.com, The Tavern will match the first $250 raised by this community. Simply comment below with how much you donated, or email me at tenkarsDOTtavern at that gmail thing.
I had Jim Kitchen as a special guest on the Tavern's YouTube Channel earlier today to discuss Friday's auction, complete with pictures of donated auction items. Link below:

Now, before anyone says "Pffft! who wants 3x D&D?" I need to state the following - I've used a number of the adventures offered below with OSRIC and Swords & Wizardry and converted on the fly. I never played, let alone ran, 3x era D&D and it was easy as pie. The adventures are written in an "old school" manner.
I have many of these in print and others in PDF. The worst ones are good and the best ones are simply amazing.
50 Dungeons from Bundle of Holding features some of the very best adventures from Goodman Games. The Adventure Begins & The Adventure Continues are practically worth the price of admission alone. Add in 23 more adventure modules and you get over 60 low-level adventures for 20 bucks. For about 45 bucks, you add in Castle Whiterock (a mega-dungeon), Gazeteer of the Known Realms (an excellent setting), and another 19 modules. You have a lifetime of adventure for less than 50 bucks.

I must say, when Goodman Games puts together a Kickstarter, they go all out. Judging from the monies already raised in less than 48 hours - over $287k as I type this and still growing, the Original Adventures Reincarnated #7: Dark Tower Kickstarter is going to kick ass for the DCC RPG and 5e fans out there.
If you don't have a copy of the originals, this 3 volume set for $100 bucks is likely a bargain. Were I a DCC RPG player or D&D 5e gamer I'd likely be all in. I'm not sure I will personally pull the trigger on this as I have the originals, but it certainly is tempting.

I know that not all of my readers play D&D 5e, let alone want to read anything having to do with 5e, but Goodman Games knows old-school gaming. I'm confident that the 5e material can be converted to OSR with little difficulty. Additionally, PC Pearls, GM Gems, and the Monster Alphabet are system neutral. The 20% discount at the Goodman Games Store is pretty sweet.
18 bucks give you the complete Fifth Edition Fantasy Bundle from Goodman Games package - 21 books PLUS the 20% coupon. Heck, even if you don't want any of the PDFs, a single buck gives you two titles AND 20% off at the Goodman Games store.

Looking at one of the latest Bundles of Holding, I am quite impressed by the quality works included at these price points. Truth be told, I believe I already own everything, if not in print than in PDF. That says a lot IMHO.
With the Goodman Gems bundle, you get The Adventurer's Almanac, the DM Campaign Tracker, PC Pearls, and GM Gems for 9.99. If you increase your buy-in to about 26 bucks, you also get The Dungeon Alphabet, The Monster Alphabet, The Cthulhu Alphabet, 50 Fantastic Functions for the D50, and How to Write Adventure Modules that Don't Suck.
It's a pretty damn strong collection overall.

Sometimes it's the little things that please us most. Other times, it's the large things that make us smile. Today, I'm happy and smiling because of the amazing selection of RPG titles in the Black Friday RPG Bonanza Humble Book Bundle (say THAT five times fast ;)
In the Black Friday RPG Bonanza Bundle, we have releases from Troll Lord Games (C&C Core rules and more, as well as 5e World of Airde adventures), Frog God Games (Bunnies & Burrow Core book and more, as well as 5e), Goodman Games (DCC RPG Core Rules and adventures), and Kobold Press (5e and System Neutral).

I'm a few days late at sharing this, but Michael Curtis has joined Goodman Games in the capacity of Director of Product Development, Dungeon Crawl Classics. I still remember the excitement I felt when I read through Stonehell Dungeon for the first time :)
The following announcement is from the Goodman Games website, linked here:
We are very pleased to announce that Michael Curtis has joined Goodman Games on a full-time basis as Director of Product Development for the Dungeon Crawl Classics line!
Michael’s name is well known to fans of Goodman Games, especially for his work on DCC Lankhmar, and many other DCC products. He has been involved with tabletop role-playing games since he was ten years old and has been working freelance in the RPG industry for almost 15 years. During that time, Michael created the renowned megadungeon of Stonehell, wrote the award-winning gaming supplement The Dungeon Alphabet, served as lead designer on the DCC Lankhmar product line for Goodman Games (during which he located an unpublished manuscript by legendary sword-and-sorcery author Fritz Leiber), and has penned or contributed to more than 60 Goodman Games releases, including fan-favorite DCC RPG adventures Frozen in Time, The Chained Coffin, Intrigue at the Court of Chaos, and The Queen of Elfand’s Son.
Michael has also contributed to such classic adventures as the Judges Guild reprints of Citadel of Fire, Fortress Badabaskor, and Tegel Manor, and converted and expanded the famous Dungeons & Dragons adventures Castle Amber and Expedition to the Barrier Peaks for fifth edition as part of the Original Adventures Reincarnated line. He is the co-host of the Twitch show “Keep Crawlin’ with Mike and Brendan,” and has written many of the “Adventures in Fiction” essays for the Goodman Games website, detailing the works of classic, yet often overlooked, fantasy authors from the last 100 years.
Michael joins Chris Doyle, Director of Product Development for our 5E product line, as a leader in our design of high-quality role-playing game products. As our DCC and 5E lines continue to gain momentum, we’re excited to see where their collaboration will take us.
“I look forward to the challenges and rewards this new position with Goodman Games will bring,” said Michael. “I’m excited by the opportunities that guiding Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG into the future allows. I hope to keep true to the game’s past and the works that inspired it, while also making it accessible to new audiences around the world.” Michael is a native New Yorker and splits his time between the mountains and the sea, seeking adventures in both.

Back in my High School and College Days I ran "The Temple" as we called it, multiple times. It was simply fun and fairly self-contained and worked really well as a summertime diversion when there were no classes and few responsibilities to interfere with our D & D game time :)
This is a massive slipcased, two-volume hardback collection! Weighing in at more than 8 pounds, the books include high-end touches like full-color endsheets, custom gatefolds, and sewn-in satin ribbon bookmarks!
The entire adventure is an homage to the origins of an adventure that began decades ago with T1: The Village of Hommlet and T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil.
Herein you will find high-quality scans from multiple printings of the original first edition adventure modules, plus commentary by gaming legends.
Full fifth edition conversions of both adventure books are included, as well as brand new adventure material adding new wilderness encounters, expanding the Village of Nulb, fully detailing the evil Elemental Nodes, and providing fifth edition updates of many original magic items, monsters, and spells.
This is a fully playable mega-dungeon and mini-campaign—many hours of classic-style adventure await you!
Note, if you shop via The Tavern's affiliate links, a portion of the monies spent will go to support The Tavern.
Note, in the last 15 minutes or so Rob Conley pops into the Livestream and gives a hands-on report on the Original Adventures Reincarnated #6: The Temple of Elemental Evil. Totally unplanned and totally awesome :)

So step back in time with us to 1980 and have a crawl through the only non-TSR module to ever make Dungeon Magazine’s cut as one of ‘the greatest D&D modules of all time:’ Dark Tower. Goodman Games has acquired Dark Tower from the Judges’ Guild, and will republish it in fully converted 5E and DCC RPG editions later this year. Director of Product Development Chris Doyle will lead the conversion to 5E, and original Dark Tower creator Jennell Jaquays will be included in design work on the new edition.
Goodman Games has stopped selling our previous Judges Guild products through all distribution channels.
Judges Guild will no longer receive income from Goodman Games products now that sales of their titles have ceased.
We have one remaining product to release, which is a collector’s edition focused on the works of Jennell Jaquays. Jennell’s story is one quite different from the views espoused by Bob Bledsaw Jr. Judges Guild and Bob Bledsaw Jr. have agreed to receive no royalties of any kind from this title. To say it bluntly: Bob Bledsaw Jr. and Judges Guild will not profit from the Judges Guild Deluxe Collector’s Edition Vol. 2 focused on the works of Jennell Jaquays. Goodman Games will match 20% of the proceeds of this title with donations: 10% to the Anti Defamation League and 10% to GLAAD. The funds that would have been used for a Judges Guild licensing fee will be included in this donation, as requested by Bob Bledsaw Jr.
After this final volume, we have no plans to release future Judges Guild titles.
In lieu of royalties, Judges Guild has agreed to donate a portion of proceeds from the Kickstarter to benefit two special charities, as outlined below.
In lieu of a royalty from the production of this volume of the Deluxe Collector’s Edition, Judges Guild has agreed to donate their royalty to philanthropic causes, and Goodman Games will match that donation. Therefore, a total of 20% of the proceeds from this Kickstarter will be donated to charity. 10% will go to the Anti-Defamation League and 10% to GLAAD.
Those royalties would have amounted to about $8,500 from the Kickstarter. How far would that have gone to making the backers of the City-State of the Invincible Overlord Kickstarter whole? Probably not far enough, but certainly closer than we are now, and I'm sure the monies could have been accounted for in whatever contract Judges Guild would have had to sign.
So, it begs the question - how much were Bob Bledsaw and Judges Guild paid for the rights to Dark Tower? Is that money being earmarked for the floundering CSIO Kickstarter, or is it going to be spent on hookers and blow - or some other such nonsense?
What changed from "After this final volume, we have no plans to release future Judges Guild titles" to "Goodman Games has acquired Dark Tower from the Judges’ Guild, and will republish it in fully converted 5E and DCC RPG editions later this year" in the course of 10 months? I'm guessing an $85k Kickstarter despite the bad publicity caused a change of heart...
