What is on my mind?@

The 30 million lawsuit Tom DeSanto filed against me in CA, the prestigious producer, lol,DELAYS MY HOPE TO PUBLISH garys original dungeon. An historical work. (Let's all be honest. Gail was never going to let anyone publish anything of Gary's. Simple as that.)

I guess i will be losing our home and Garys dungeon. (wait! this means she KNOWS she violated the agreement with DeSanto)

No one, except my agent has stepped up to defend me. She was fired from APA. TOM deSanto said to me an agent from APA was up on child molestation and basically said they were a third rat agency. (this is a later edit and Wow! But yeah, great agent Gail. She's made you tons of money, right? No?)

My agent is fantastic and I can only say after many years in LA, she is the best. (So fantastic exactly how much of Gary's IP and legacy has been licensed since his death? Do I hear crickets? Why yes I do)

I almost died in 2014 when Luke and Ernie sued me (no Gail, you filed a trademark infringement against them and the new TSR. Actually, it was you that explained to me that you never sued them, but was just protecting YOUR trademark) , and Margaret Weis. Shocking Margaret as Gary was so kind to you.
Et Weis as a board member. Not sure why She was so negative against me other than to gain financial. vControl over the Gygax trademark.. (this is so out of fucking left field I really don't know what to say. I forgot there was a period in time where other than Gail's imediate familty was on the board of the Gygax Memorial Fund)

I believe Tom DeSanto, accordinding to his email wants to strip me of our home and all properties Gary and i were working. On. (wait. Gail was working on this stuff? So, it isn't Gary's legacy but literally Gail's too? Or is this a rewrite of history? As for stripping you of your home I think he just wants the IP before it is too rotten and dirtied to have any worth)

I refuse to attend GarybCon as Luke Gygax is so very negative to me and our much beloved Gen Con due to what i believe are Luke Gygaxes rants with his friends against me. Peter and Gen Con has only been respectful and loving to me and Alexander. (Gail, the attendies of Gary Con are pretty negative about your presence. Gen Con attendies have no clue who you are)

My home has been invaded, there was a trip wire by my back step to kill me and I know what is missing from our home. (This part is fucking insane. Not saying it didn't happen, but its random placement in this wandering missive leads me to believe it didn't happen)

My stepchildren places a headstone without a body. It reads. E Gary Gygax. Beloved Father and Grandfather. So my step childrens hatred of me is front and center. I was his beloved wife. No respect from them. I was shocked and dismayed when Harold Jog son informed me of this act at Gen Con. I was indeed devastated and bed ridden for two months. (And how many years has the GMF been promising a monument for?)

Nice. I created GaryCon in my husbands memory (Can someone with actual knowledge comment on this?). Guess my stepchildren cant share with me and Alex. (Why bring Alex into the mix? He seems to get along ok with his step siblings)

i can only believe TOM DESANTO AND NEW MYTH entertainment with David Ranes has victomized me. Not sure calling the FBI TOMORROW (oh my fucking God! Somebody get the number to the imaginary FBI from Ken Whitman for her.)

Tom is suing me for $30mil. I asked my stepchildren to help me. Only to get the answer from Luke if i didnt make him branding manager there would be no agreement with his sibblings. What doess that even mean?. He wants control over my 30+ year company. (Yes, he does. Because Luke can make it profitable. But hey, since you don't want Luke or Ernie {allegedly} attached to any of the projects that DeSanto wanted to pitch, because {allegedly} you don't want any of your step children profiting of the rotting IP you control, why would they even return your calls - let alone help you?)

So i start a new jouney to make sure my husbands works are brought forward. I am disappointed Hasbro WOTC will not return my emails. (Not surprising at all. Why would they want to be associated with a raving lunatic at this point? Oh, whatever happened to the monies you received from the PDF and POD sales of the reprints of the core AD&D books that WotC has been sending you for the past few years?)

I WANT garys original dungeon i. With HIS original rules. Dungeons and Dragons. (oh my. wait, are you saying you want WotC's IP and TM regarding Original and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. Do tell us how that will work out?)

I hope i have support for this historical moment. (how is it historic? what kind of support are you asking for?)

Mrs. E. Gary Gygax (this is how Gail signed PM's to me in Nov / Dec of 2015 when she was threatening me with legal action. When she was trying to give me dirt on the family, she signed it Gail Gygax. Makes you wonder...)

I will love him until the day i die. He was a truly special man. I was so honored to be married to him.

I'm fucking exhausted. The last two edits happened as I was writing this. I expect more. I hope someone close to Gail see's what is happening and gets her the help she obviously needs. Tenkar

Crowdfunding - The Sinister Stone of Sakkara for 5E

As if to prove my thesis that the OSR and D&D 5e have much more synergy that the OSR ever did with Pathfinder, we find The Sinister Stone of Sakkara for 5E by Autarch over on Indiegogo. Proper conversions of OSR adventure material to 5e makes it just that much more likely I'll actually play 5e. I know, those are heretical words to some ;)

I'm excited to alert our fans that our adventure module The Sinister Stone of Sakkara is being released for Fifth Edition. We're currently running a small IndieGoGo campaign to cover the costs of layout and printing so that we can offer an offset printed version of the book.

This is Autarch's ninth crowdfunding project, but it's our first Fifth Edition project. All of our prior material has been for our proprietary Adventurer Conqueror King System.

As with the ACKS version, the adventure features: 

• Dozens of black and white illustrations by Michael Syrigos and a pair of full-color landscape paintings, one of the fortress of Türos Tem and one of the buried temple by concept artist Jeff Brown
• A starting base including a villa, headquarters, hospital, chapterhouse, infantry barracks, cavalry barracks, bathhouse, traveler's inn, and forum, all mapped and keyed.
• A dungeon with two levels, the first with 75 rooms and the second with 39 rooms, mapped and keyed, along with two custom random encounter tables.

Interview with Steve Jackson (SJG) regarding The Fantasy Trip RPG

Before the launch of The Fantasy Trip Kickstarter, I had an email exchange with Steve Jackson (of Steve Jackson Games, not the other one ;) regarding The Fantasy Trip. Steve answered some questions and I suspect some of the answers may lead to questions from my readers. If you do have some questions, leave them in the comments section and I'll forward them to Steve Jackson Games.

Tenkar: Here is the initial round of The Fantasy Trip questions. I expect some answers to generate further questions. There is no specific reason for the order of the questions.

I must confess to not owning a copy of the original rules. Not for lack of interest, simply lack of desire to be shaken down on Ebay.

Steve: Yes, totally understandable.

Tenkar: 1 - Steve, what was your inspiration for The Fantasy Trip? What were you trying to accomplish with the rules when you wrote them?

Steve: For the original Melee, the inspiration was OD&D and I wanted to create a better combat system, for “suits me better” values of better. I like hexes.  For the later material, the inspiration was all the fun we were having playing Melee, and the goal was to see if I could create a coherent but simpler rules system.


Tenkar: 2 - Are you surprised by the amount of nostalgia and love there is for The Fantasy Trip?

Steve: In a word, yes!


Tenkar: 3 - I believe GURPS is an evolution of The Fantasy Trip, much like AD&D was of OD&D, perhaps with more divergence in the case of TFT / GURPS. With the new printing of TFT, will we get to see a “what if" version of The Fantasy Trip if it had been allowed evolve on its own?

Steve: It won’t be the same as 40 years of natural evolution,, but yes, it will at least be a lot like it would have been if I’d had another few months and Metagaming’s print budget had been greater, back in the day.


Tenkar: 4 - Rob Conley raised a question in The Tavern’s weekly voice chat session - Will there be something similar to OneBookShelf's Community Content Program for The Fantasy Trip, so that third-party publishers could publish content for TFT and share the profits with SJg?

Steve: Maaaaaaaaaaybe?


Tenkar: 5 - What kind of initial support can be expected after the core rules are released? Adventures, campaign setting, etc?

Steve: Yes and yes. We’re working on a neat GM tool, and an introductory one-character solo.


Tenkar: 6 - I see $60 is going to be the "I want it all" cost for TFT on KS. What are the plans for distribution aside from KS?

Steve: Not fully formed. Melee and Wizard will be in stores. If the whole Legacy box is in stores, it will be considerably more than $60.


Tenkar: 7 - Related in part to Question 4, are there any third party publishers that have asked or have lined up to support TFT (understood if this is confidential - yes or no may suffice)?

Steve: Confidential and yes.


Tenkar: 8 - With Melee and Wizard being published at the same time this time around, has that enabled you to ensure both books work seamlessly with each other?

Steve: I have certainly given it the old college try.


Tenkar: 9 - Will Advanced Melee and Advanced Wizard be a part of the initial core books, are they something for later or is it something that hasn’t been considered yet.

Steve: They will be subsumed into ITL, which will go up to 160 pages. (Note: "ITL" is "In the Labyrinth" and will be inside The Fantasy Trip Legacy Edition box.)


Tenkar: 10 - Which, if any, of the original supplements that you no have the rights to will be reissued?

Steve: All of them, eventually. Everything but the Death Tests is in the basic set, and the DTs are stretch goals that I really hope will be hit. If not, they will be part of the first supplement package.
