Deal of the Day - Content Conversion Guide Second Edition (Pathfinder / 5E / P2E / OSR / DCC / d20 3.5 / AD&D 2e)

Some people do these conversions on the fly, based on feel. Others like to have it spelled out for them. I'm in the former category myself, but if you are in the latter, today's Deal of the Day - Content Conversion Guide Second Edition (Pathfinder / 5E / P2E / OSR / DCC / d20 3.5 / AD&D 2e) is the guide for you.

If you've ever wanted to take adventure content from one system and use it in another, this book has been designed to be of invaluable help.

With full support for 3.x and AD&D 2e, you can easily convert decades-old campaign material for use with more recent rules systems, or vice versa.

Return to the realms of Greyhawk, Mystara, Planescape, Al-Qadim, Dark Sun, Kara-Tur, Birthright, and even Hollow World, or explore them for the very first time, in the rules system of your choice!

Extend and enhance the options available for settings that have been republished, but much more sparsely than the hundreds of sourcebooks and adventures that are available over the decades for older systems. Ravenloft, Forgotten Realms, Spelljammer, and more: if you liked the material that is available for 5E, you'll gush at the opportunity to delve into hundreds of sourcebooks that have come before.

Relive, or relish, HUNDREDS of ancient sourcebooks, adventures, and options, in the modern rules system of your choosing.

Take the hundreds of first-party, and thousands of indie, adventures and sourcebooks that have been published for P1E and other older systems, and use them in 5E or another supported system of your choice.

Convert any content, from any of the supported rules systems, into any of the other rules systems.

Only with the Content Conversion Guide: Second Edition.

Humble Bundle - HUGE Classic Pathfinder Bundle

Earlier today a HUGE Classic Pathfinder Bundle hit Humble Bundle. If you play ANY of the earlier versions of D&D or its clones, it's easy enough to convert Pathfinder 1e on the fly.

74 PDFs for 25 bucks - (and 69 more PDFs for 50 bucks total) - more gaming than you can shake a stick at.

Humble Bundle - Pathfinder 1e Kobold & Frog God Bundle

I am very much NOT a Pathfinder fan, regardless of edition. That being said, I own a surprising amount of Pathfinder 1e material, mostly setting-related, as I find I can convert such to the OSR system of my choice with minimal effort. YMMV.

The latest RPG-related bundle on Humble Bundle is a Pathfinder 1e Kobold & Frog God Bundle. 69 books for 25 bucks. Seriously, go big or go home :)

The Lost City of Barakus, Rappan Athuk, and Stoneheart Valley are worth the price of admission on their own.

Humble Bundle - Pathfinder 2 Bundle

I am NOT a Pathfinder player, whether it's 1st or 2nd edition. That being said, the Pathfinder 1e Beginner Box is one of the best values in RPGs, and the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box is right up with it. I'd actually be happy to run either Pathfinder Beginner Box as a campaign game, and I can't say that about either full version of Pathfinder. The Pathfinder Beginner Boxes are, dare I say, almost OSR in nature.

The current Pathfinder 2 Bundle: Guns of Alkenstar, has two sweet spots in my humble opinion. Five bucks gets you the Pathfinder 2 Beginner Box, two adventures, and a player's guide. 30 bucks gives you all of the core Pathfinder 2 Core Rulebooks, the Pathfinder 2 Beginner Box, adventures, Foundtry VTT-ready modules, and more. Personally, if I didn't already have the Pathfinder 2 Beginner Box in print and PDF, I'd be snagging the five-buck bundle.

Humble Bundle - Pathfinder 2nd Edition Legacy Bundle

I am not a Pathfinder player. Never have been. That being said, the original Pathfinder Beginners Box was one of the best gaming values I've ever seen, and the Pathfinder 2e Beginners Box is damn close! You can snag a digital copy of the Pathfinder 2e Beginners Box for as low as 5 bucks with the cheapest bundle option.

The Pathfinder 2nd Edition Legacy Bundle includes THREE bestiaries in its collection - all under the OGL. So, it's ripe for the picking for other OGL systems (although future licensing and revisions will be under the ORC license)

Note: OSR Christmas emails for Days 1 and 2 will go out this weekend

Bundle of Holding - Freeport Pathfinder (Green Ronin)

Yes, this is THAT Freeport. Freeport is a classic, no matter the system you purchase it for I've used bits and pieces from the D20 Freeport original in my OSR games. It is simply that good and that timeless.

If you have ANY edition of Freeport, I doubt you need Freeport Pathfinder. If you've never experienced Freeport by Green Ronin, this is an affordable introduction and in-depth dive into the setting.

Ahoy, adventurer! This Freeport Pathfinder Quick Deal presents the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game First Edition version of the venerable tabletop roleplaying campaign setting Freeport from Green Ronin Publishing. Freeport is a rum-soaked pirate stronghold, a sandbox setting of classic fantasy mixed with Lovecraftian horror – of grubby streets and desperate action, where you live on rum and sea biscuits, not waybread and nectar. The supernatural is real but not easily controlled; crime and greed have more sway than curses and spells; pirates may be more dangerous than monsters. It's high adventure and low comedy, piracy and black magic, sunken cities and mad alchemists and thievery and evil cults and political corruption and gang warfare and suspicious lumps in your fish pie. Freeport is the City of Adventure.

For just US$17.95 you get all nine Pathfinder First Edition titles in our Freeport Collection (retail value $85) as DRM-free ebooks, including the complete 544-page Freeport: The City of Adventure for the Pathfinder RPG campaign sourcebook and Freeport Bestiary, the six-scenario adventure path Return to Freeport, and six Short Cuts that enhance any Pathfinder campaign: Cavalier Orders, Inquisitor Spells, Magic Firearms, Thanemages, Witch Patrons, and Fifty Campaign Themes.

Humble Bundle - So You Wanna Try Out Pathfinder 2e

I've never been a Pathfinder player, regardless of edition, but my God, the Pathfinder Beginner Boxes - First AND Second Edition are simply amazing! They certainly do tempt me into the Pathfinder realms. As for the adventures, Pathfinder adventures have always been solid.

So, you say you want to check out Pathfinder 2e. Well, the Beginner Box, the Core Rules, the Bestiary, and more for 5 bucks. Talk about an inexpensive way to check out Pathfinder 2e :)

Frog God Games Sale - 50%-60% Off Nearly Everything! Early Black Friday is Here!

Frog God Games is running some Black Friday Sales at DTRPG and their own Frog God storefront and the price cuts are DEEP.

Everything Frog God Games has in digital format at DriveThruRPG is  60% off. All of the new releases from Necromancer Games are 60% off at DriveThruRPG.

Over at the Frog God Webstore, the discount is 50% off print and PDF prices using the coupon code: MOST-ORCUS-TIME-2022

Did I mention Frog God Games is also offering a holiday-themed freebie? Grab The Terrible Yule Cat for OSE, C&C, and 5e for free!

So, some of my picks are, in no particular order and no preference to the storefront (get your print copies directly from the Frogs and your PDF only from DriveThruRPG)

Lost Lands (Setting Book) - one of the best fantasy settings available, bar none. System neutral, so run it with S&W, OSE, Dungeon Fantasy, The Fantasy Trip - whatever you desire.

Tehuatl (Setting Book) - a mesoamerican themed setting, it is very well done and does a great job showing respect to the setting. Like the Lost Lands setting, it is system neutral.

Rappan Athuk (mega-dungeon) - a timeless mega-dungeon. Available in the "classic" S&W version or the new shiny 5e version, either way, you can't go wrong.

Monstrosities (monster book) - for S&W, every creature has a hook or mini-adventure attached to it. If you don't already have a copy, snag it now.

Moon Daughter's Fate (adventure)- for S&W and 5e, Moon Daughter's Fate has its root in traditional Chinese folklore, not something that you find all that often in an RPG adventure.

The Midderlands (setting) - this is the 5e version of Glynn Seal's fantastic faux Britan setting.

How Orcus Stole Christmas (adventure) - James Spahn at his best. Available in S&W, PF1e, and 5e flavors.

Much, much more ;)

Humble Bundle - Give the Gift of Pathfinder and Starfinder Book Bundle (Paizo)

I do not play Pathfinder, but I certainly did manage to collect a number of Pathfinder 1e releases. By far, one of the best values in tabletop gaming for years was the Pathfinder 1e Beginner Box. While the Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box does quite hit the same heights, it is still impressive (yes, I own it - I simply had to know how it would compare to its predecessor).

Here are the price points for the Pathfinder 2e and Starfinder Book Bundle:

5 bucks get you both Pathfinder & Starfinder Starter Boxes and a number of adventures and accessories. 10 items in total

15 bucks give you bother Pathfinder & Starfinder Core Books and Both Starter Boxes as well as a number of adventures and accessories. 25 items in total.

25 bucks give you bother Pathfinder & Starfinder Core Books and Both Starter Boxes as well as a number of adventures and accessories. 25 items in total.

Humble Bundle - Fantasy RPG Comics (Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and More)

I've been on a comic book kick recently. Not the new stuff which is priced at 3? 4? bucks per 32-page book, but stuff like The Sandman (classic Neil Gaiman) via Cosmicology Unlimited and classic 2000 AD (Judge Dredd and more) via an earlier Humble Bundle. I am seriously enjoying reading comics on my iPad. It almost seems like it was built for the purpose.

Now I have the opportunity to add 14 fantasy titles for15 bucks with the Fantasy RPG Comics Bundle at Humble Bundle. Between this and my audiobooks, my reading material is covered for months! Huzzah!

Explore the role-playing experience with this fantastic bundle of fantasy comics! Delve deeper into the characters and lore of your favorite settings in stories based on Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder. Discover a world where gaming sessions get all too real in the acclaimed horror-fantasy series Die. Follow the adventures of a band of mercs in the sword-and-sorcery send-up Skullkickers.

Humble Bundle - Pathfinder 2e Core Rules & More

Surpise! I bet you didn't expect another RPG Bundle from Humble Bundle while the OSE Bundle is still going strong. You'd be wrong ;)

The Pathfinder Strength of Thousands Adventure Path Bundle is live on Humble Bundle and gives you a shit ton of gaming material for 25 bucks for 28 products (or less).

Humble Bundle is Awash with Tabletop RPG Bundles Right Before Christmas

There are a number of Tabletop RPG Bundles available at Humble Bundle at the moment, and I will list them below. It should be noted that you can gift Humble Bundles (I was gifted a bundle a number of years ago) and said bundles can make for nice gifts for the gamemaster in your life (if you wish to steer them towards a new system - hint, hint) or inexpensive gifts (at the lower price points) for the players in your group.

It should be noted, that if you use any of the links below, they are affiliate links that will go to support The Tavern. If that makes you uncomfortable, you can always go directly to the Humble Bundle site and avoid the affiliate links completely. The choice is yours.

In no particular order, the Tabletop RPG Bundles are:

Cyberpunk by R. Talsorian - If you are looking for Cyberpunk 2020 you'll likely be well covered. You can even get the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart Kit. 18 bucks get you 30 releases, and as always you can scale down to pay less.

Digital Dungeon Maps, Tokens, & Assets featuring Alyssa Faden - a true smorgasbord of gaming resources. Alyssa's attention to detail in her maps is second to none.

Pathfinder Second Edition Beginner's Bundle - one of the best values in tabletop RPGs was the Pathfinder First Edition Beginner Box. It was a version of Pathfinder I would be willing to play, but the value of the included pogs/tokens is second to none. The PF2 Beginner Box ALSO has the pogs/tokens (I own it - my only PF2 purchase - can't speak for the rules but the contents give value for money). This bundle gives the option of receiving a physical Pathfinder Second Edition Beginner's Box. There is also a Fantasy Grounds Pathfinder First Edition Ultimate GM Kit Bundle available. (edit - I initially mislabeled this for 2e)

Star Trek Adventures by Modiphius - I should pick this bundle up just to see Gareth Skarka's pen name in print ;)

Humble Bundle RPG Book Bundle - Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary by Paizo

Pathfinder 2e released in August of 2019. In July of 2020, Paizo had their first Pathfinder 2e Humble Bundle. Now, In May of 2021, they have their second Humble Bundle for Pathfinder 2e less than 2 years after launching the ruleset. It's Crazy Eddie level of insane ;)

One hell of a way to kill off your sale of Pathfinder 2e PDFs, when your customers know new PDFs will be available dirt cheap in a year or so.

The current Pathfinder 2e Humble Bundle adds in a Print copy of the Pathfinder 2e Bestiary for 35 bucks, and that includes ALL of the PDFs that will be shown above and below. Currently, a print copy of the 2e Bestiary is 49.99 at the Paizo store and 37.49 for a "non-mint" copy.

The PDFs of the Six-Part Extinction Curse Adventure Path are 17.99 apiece at the Paizo store.

I am sorely tempted to grab the Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary Humble Bundle at 25 bucks, not for the rules, but the OGL Bestiary that I can crib from, the adventure path, the map packs, and more.

Somehow it seems like a desperate cash grab by a failing company, but who am I to turn down the wish of a failing company? I'm sure my 25 bucks will return my investment many times over.

About the only thing Paizo hasn't done to raise cash is to release its ample library of Adventure Paths for 5th Edition D&D. One can only hope, as that would make for easy conversion of such to OSR use ;)

A huge tip of the hat to The Taverner that gave me the heads up on this Humble Bundle. :)
