Earlier today +Zach Glazar sent me photos of the local proofs for Swords & Wizardry Light. I am so stoked!
This isn't the main print run. These are the proofs for the run of copies for GameHole Con. God, I wish I was going to be there this year.
I can't wait to have it in my own grubby little hands ;)
Again, thanks to +Zach Glazar for listening to my "dumb little idea", to +Matt Finch for entrusting me with his "child", to +Bill Webb for saying "lets do this", to Rach for putting up with me in the midst of all this and to you, The Tavern's Community. Without all of you, this never would have happened. Oh, and +James Spahn , for the trouble we'll be causing in the future...
Okay, I'm going to succumb to a headache and stomach cramps now, but I'll do so smiling from ear to ear. Happy dance :)
Now that is one gorgeous looking... pamphlet? Folder?ReplyDelete
Folder - doubles as a DM screen :)Delete
Oooh! I'll be at Gamehole Con, so maybe I can see it in person....ReplyDelete
I believe you can pick a copy up for freeDelete
I guess I'm not seeing something... what is so exciting about this?ReplyDelete
Swords & Wizardry distilled down to 4 pages covering levels 1 through 3. Perfect for con games, new and lapsed players or current players that just want a lighter system.ReplyDelete
Plus it's just awesome. Who doesn't love a 4 page game?Delete
Will there be any at North Texas Con in June?ReplyDelete
There was a limited print run done for GameHole Con. Go to the Frog God Games table early to snag your free copy. When they are gone you'll need to wait - literally for the boat from China.ReplyDelete

French reader here, so I may be mistaken, but a few typos seem to remain :ReplyDelete
- 5th line of the intro : "Halycon days of herosim"
- Same line, "forge brand new legend". Isn't it "legends" ?
- "You can use your Constitution bonus to gain additional hit points on each HD" ; shouldn't it be "one additional hit point" since the bonus is always 1?
- "Dwarves get [...] vs.death magic & poisons." A space seems to be missing after "vs."
Otherwise I like what I see. The description of the ogre is perfect;)
Are you interested in a (reasonably good) French translation? French forum donjondudragon.fr (which I contribute to) specializes in translating old TSR material; I would be happy to do it myself. An excellent translation of S&W Whitebox by Kobayashi already exists so it should not take long.
If you're interested you can see my translation of Chris Gonnerman's GL0 - The Haunted Tower here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/yinb3wzj96nph22/GL0%20La%20Tour%20hant%C3%A9e.pdf?dl=0
when will the pdf be available?ReplyDelete
