What I Need to Clear My Mind for Writing - Nature

I'm in the Poconos for an extended weekend with Rach and my parents. I"m still amazed I spent nearly 10 months without spending a night out of the city.

For me to create and create effectively, I need to be in the right mindset. Nature not only recharges my batteries, but it invigorates my mind. I did a lot of brainstorming last night for the Swords & Wizardry 4 page / 1 sheet project. I need to update the Google Community with some of the changes / solutions that are likely to be used.

Now, a question that can come now or later, but must be addressed at some point is what do you call rules that are lighter than S&W White Box?

eXtra Light? Vanilla Unboxed? Pale Whiter? White Lite Rules? Simple & Succinct? God only knows...

  1. Swords & Wizardry: Budweiser Edition

  2. Swords & Wizardry: Budweiser Edition

  3. SW: Cantrip edition
    Swords and Wizardry Cantrip
    Daggers & Spells

    1. Er, maybe Daggers and Magic might be better of the two. But that might be to close to old school computer RPG line.

  4. Tenkar's Extra Lite White Rules on Tap

  5. I like the sound of "SW: Cantrip Edition".

  7. Nature is the best for me, too. I have a little cafe table outside (we don't live in the city), and it's nice to go out there and write.

  8. S&W:

    Or just call it:
    Daggers & Cantrips

  9. Swords & Wizardry: White Page edition. or One Sheet edition. or Single White sheet edition...

  10. +1 for S&W : WhitePage. It works on all levels.

  11. I think Daggers & Cantrips is a winner!

  12. You need an acronym name, ala SW: SERPENT System (Simple Edition Role Play ENTertainment). Else, I like Dirks & Cantrips over Daggers & Cantrips.

  13. The Poconos (Blakeslee, Jim Thorpe, & Mt. Pocono) and Jersey Shore (mostly North Wildwood) were our vacation spots growing up -- only one a year, but inspiring to our RPGs nonetheless. I am envious in that I won't be vacationing at either, this year, as "staycations" are more my choice, due to economics.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the trip, Erik. I suggest Swords & Wizardry: Thin Air Edition -- if you are, in fact, allowed to use S&W's moniker. I've been away from the Internet most of the last 48 hours, so I am coming at this fresh and without being influenced by other responses.
