Bundle of Holding - Vikingverse

Vigingverse Bundle? I'm sold! :)

Adventurer! This all-new Vikingverse Bundle presents When the Wolf Comes, Ian Stuart Sharpe's tabletop science-fantasy roleplaying game of Vikingverse action from Schwalb Entertainment based on Shadow of the Demon Lord. The Vikingverse is set during a reimagined Ragnarök, the doom of the gods. Fated to be devoured by the great wolf Fenrir, Óðinn defied the Norns by changing destiny – by granting forbidden knowledge to the Norse kingdoms. Now, in this alternate present, expeditions of Widefarers, Runemasters, Song Smiths, Thread Riders, Numberwitches, and other Norse heroes travel the Yawning Void via the greenways of Yggdrasil, the Worlds Tree. The Níu Heimar (Nine Homeworlds) are your setting for sagas of phenomenal trial or great personal sacrifice. Ragnarök has struck throughout the shattered timelines; the Fates send your heroes, pawns in a cosmic game, to stand against doom across the Kingdom of the Heavens. In this elementally hazardous universe, perhaps all that matters is how you meet the end.

This all-new offer gives you the entire Vikingverse line for an unbeatable bargain price. For just US$14.95 you get all seventeen titles in our Vikingverse Collection (retail value $61) as DRM-free ebooks, including the complete standalone 392-page When the Wolf Comes core rulebook; three short but intense rules expansions – Space Vikings, Doomcraft, and Death Metal; the character expansions Paths of Honor and Paths of Shame; and the complete 11-part Thought & Memory Saga Campaign Bundle.

Kickstarter - Cathedral Dice – Inspired by Gothic Stained Glass

Sharp-edged, double-cast resin RPG dice sets, crafted larger to showcase intricate details

Like many gamers, I have a weakness for dice. At this point, it's rare for me to find dice that excite me. The Cathedral Dice Kickstarter actually excites me, even if the price point has the potential to scare me off.

A set of 3d6 goes for $35. A single D20 Chonk (giant 35mm d20) costs $65. A set of 7 dice goes for $85. For $140, you can snag the Chonk and the 7 dice set.

Kickstarter - A Lifetime of Adventure: 66 Adventures for Fantasy RPGs

Mix and match from Frog God and Necromancer Games' past adventures. Includes 5e, OSR, C&C, DCC, OSE, and system-neutral modules.

I find it amazing that Frog God Games and Necromancer Games have published so many adventures over the past decade and a half, maybe longer.

A Lifetime of Adventure: 66 Adventures for Fantasy RPGs Kickstarter offers 66 releases from FGG and Necro at bundle prices.

You can mix and match within the various rules system, and the more you buy, the cheaper the cost per book.

Welcome to a Lifetime of Adventure from Frog God Games and Necromancer Games! Why a lifetime of adventure, you ask? Because we're offering more than 60 adventures and supplements we've crafted during the past six years — that's more than enough adventure to keep you busy for a long, long time!

Just for this Kickstarter, we're offering these exciting softcover books at a fantastic discount, all in one convenient place! We've included a selection of our past products, which makes this the perfect time to pick up anything you missed out on. You'll find bundles of PDFs and books that you can customize to enrich your gaming experience — no matter your preferred gaming system.

What gaming systems are included?

In this Kickstarter, you can choose from adventures designed for 5e, Old-School Renaissance (OSR), Old-School Essentials (OSE), and Castles & Crusades (C&C). We're also including Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC), the newest system we have just started to support. You'll also find system-neutral products that can be dropped into any game.

Does the physical book come with the PDF?

Yes, every physical book you select comes with its matching PDF. You can put the real book on the shelf and use the PDF at the gaming table.

Deal of the Day - ShadowSun - A ShadowDark Setting

K, here's the part where I reveal my biases and connections. I've known Greg Christopher / AKA Chubby Funster since before the early days of the Friends & Family Beta Testing of D&D Next—close to 15 years now. We've gamed together regularly over those years and have become true friends. Greg is one of the more skilled creators in the OSR, and his ShadowDark work is some of his best.

Today's Deal of the Day is ShadowSun—A ShadowDark Setting. If you are like me and wish someone would bring back an authentic version of Dark Sun, Greg presents us with an homage that is perhaps better than the original that inspired it.

ShadowSun is usually $8 in PDF, but until tomorrow morning, ShadowSun is on sale for $4

Humble Bundle - Mutants & Masterminds 3e RPG Collection

I am not a massive fan of Supers RPGs—I never have been and never will be. That being said, if I were to play a Supers RPG these days, it would be Mutants & Masterminds—hands down. It's just familiar enough to feel comfortable.

18 bucks gets you 19 Mutants & Masterminds releases. Years of heroic play can be at your fingertips.

Bundle of Holding - The Dracula Dossier

I've heard a lot about Nights Black Agents. Surprisingly, I bought this back in 2017 - I need to redownload The Dracula Dossier.

Agent! We've been cleared to resurrect the December 2017 Dracula Dossier Bundle. The Dracula Dossier is an epic improvised horror-espionage campaign for Night's Black Agents, star designer Kenneth Hite's GUMSHOE system tabletop roleplaying game of burned spies vs. vampires from Pelgrane Press.

In 1893 a visionary spymaster in the British Naval Intelligence Department tried to recruit the perfect asset: a vampire. Operation Edom contacted Count Dracula in Transylvania, set up a safe house and headquarters in England, and arranged transit. Then it all went wrong. Dracula betrayed his minder and double-crossed NID. British intelligence hunted him down on his home ground and terminated him with two knives and extreme prejudice – or so they thought. Dracula lives. Now it's up to you to finish the job.

Funded by a November 2014 Kickstarter campaign, the Dracula Dossier series follows in the fully improvisational path of the award-winning The Armitage Files campaign for Trail of Cthulhu. Players follow leads in the margins of Dracula Unredacted, a rare edition of Bram Stoker's masterpiece that reveals the terrifying truth behind the fiction. Players choose which leads to track, which scarlet trail to follow. The Director, using the clear step-by-step techniques in these ebooks, improvises a suitably blood-soaked thriller in response to their choices. Together you create your own unique story for one of the greatest RPG campaigns ever published.

This comprehensive revival once again brings you the entire Dracula Dossier line. For just US$19.95 you get all three titles in this revived offer's Agent Collection (retail value $54) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks, including the Night's Black Agents core rulebook, Dracula Unredacted, and The Edom Field Manual.

Kickstarter - It Fell From the Sky (ShadowDark Adventure)

What would your players' characters do if aliens crash-landed in your campaign? This adventure just may answer that question!

This is the part where I pull back the curtain. I've known Thom Wilson for years, first meeting Tom at NTRPG Con and later being a Special Guest at the first Shire Con (run by Thom) and yearly since. Thom is a skilled and prolific producer of Old School RPG material.

It Fell From the Sky is Thom Wilson's ShadowDark low-level adventure. It's 4 bucks in PDF, 15 bucks for print plus PDF, and includes shipping.

It Fell From the Sky is a 24- to 28-page adventure designed for the Shadowdark RPG. It contains enough content to last one to three sessions of gameplay for most groups. It can be dropped into any campaign or world of the game master's choosing.

This adventure will be available to backers in two formats: a PDF or a digest-sized print-on-demand book. The cover is full-color with a black & white interior.

The adventure was created and written by Thom Wilson of ThrowiGames. Eric Lofgren created the fantastic cover. Maps were hand-drawn by Glynn Seal of MonkeyBlood Design. And the original interior art was developed by Joey Docil. Of course, Joshua Newey is handling all the editing.

DriveThruRPG will handle PDF delivery, and Lulu.com will fulfill the print-on-demand copies.

Bundle of Holding - Corsairs of Cthulhu (CoC)

This is the part where I talk about who I know, so you can read this post with open eyes. I've known Ben Burns, owner of New Comet Games, for about a decade. We set aside time to talk at every NTRPG Con, and I consider Ben a friend.

I own nearly all New Comet Games Call of Cthulhu print releases, which are well worth the investment. At 7.95, this PDF bundle is practically a steal.

Ahoy! This all-new Corsairs of Cthulhu Bundle presents Corsairs of Cthulhu: Fighting the Mythos in the Golden Age of Piracy and other historical Call of Cthulhu Seventh Edition tabletop roleplaying scenarios from New Comet Games. This piratical guide to the years 1650-1730 gives you new rules for alchemy and voodoo, historical occupations and equipment, and maps of Port Royal and far Tortuga. Your 17th-Century Investigators can crew a pirate or privateer vessel, freelance out of a Caribbean port, or sail their own ship as corsairs. They face curses left by ancient civilizations, and nightmares hidden around the Gulf and the seas beyond (waaay beyond). Join the crew, hoist the Jolly Roger, prime your pistol, and sharpen your cutlass. It'll take more than luck to save you today.

For just US$7.95 you get all four CoC supplements in our New Comet Collection (retail value $44) as DRM-free ebooks, including the complete 299-page Corsairs of Cthulhu campaign sourcebook along with three 1920s-era campaigns: A Time for Sacrifice (about Mayan mysteries in the Yucatan), Devil's Swamp (the Hockomock Swamp in southern Massachusetts), and The Star on the Shore (Rockport, Massachusetts). Each campaign consists of shorter scenarios that can be played as standalone sessions, and all are fine for both beginning and experienced Investigators.

Note: These campaigns require Call of Cthulhu Seventh Edition (not included in this offer) or compatible rules such as the free and open Cthulhu Eternal.

Humble Bundle - Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying

I first ran a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying with the release of the first edition of the WFRP ruleset, and it was a blast. The system is fun, but the setting is second to none. Rich and dark, the world of WFRP is familiar to us but also significantly divergent.

The current edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a bundle at Humble Bundle. For 25 bucks, you get all of the releases shown on this page and a 20% off coupon for use at the Cubicle 7 website.

Horror Sale - I6 Ravenloft (1e)

I remember first seeing Ravenloft in 84 (it was released in 83). It was an exciting change of pace from the other adventures I was running then, and the Ravenloft setting that was released later became one of my favorite settings in the 2e era.

Until the end of October, I6 Ravenloft (1e) is on sale for 4.19 in PDF on DTRPG.

Under raging stormclouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of castle Ravenloft. Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves around him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power - and of madness. His once-handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself.

Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came - all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them.

Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, its thunder echoing through the castle's towers. But Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind - or perhaps a lone wolf - fills the midnight air. The master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.

Horror Sale - Vaesen - Nordic Horror Roleplaying

I own Vaesen, and I'm impressed with it. However, it may never be used, as it doesn't fit my current group all that well. It uses the Year Zero Engine, which may or may not be a selling point for you.

Usually 24.99 in PDF, for the rest of the month, Vaesen is on sale for 14.99.

For our Halloween sale, this title has been marked down by up to 40% for a limited time!

Click here for more spooky savings

Welcome to the Mythic North – northern Europe of the nineteenth century, but not as we know it today. A land where the myths are real. A cold reach covered by vast forests, its few cities lonely beacons of industry and enlightenment – a new civilization dawning. But in the countryside, the old ways still hold sway. There, people know what lurks in the dark. They know to fear it.

Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying is written by Nils Hintze and based on the work of Swedish illustrator and author Johan Egerkrans. Vaesen presents a dark Gothic setting steeped in Nordic folklore and the old myths of Scandinavia. The game mechanics utilize an adapted version of the awardwinning Year Zero Engine.

Key features:

· Ten ready to use archetypes let you create a character in minutes – or use the included life path tables and let the dice decide.

· Quick and flavorful rules for combat, investigations and horror.

· Rules for developing the player characters’ headquarters during campaign play.

· A detailed gazetteer of the Mythic North setting and the town of Upsala.

· A score of bloodcurdling vaesen to encounter, all beautifully illustrated by Johan Egerkrans.

· An introductory Mystery called The Dance of Dreams.

Deal of the Day - Castle Falkenstein

Castle Falkenstein is a modern-day classic. I remember grabbing a copy of this back in 2006/7 in print, and wishing I had a gaming group to run it. I may need to revisit Castle Falkenstein.

Normally 20 bucks in PDF, Castle Falkenstein is on sale until tomorrow morning for $6.

SPELLNAPPED!

When computer game designer Tom Olam found himself sorcerously shanghaied by a rogue Wizard and a Faerie Lord, little did he suspect that he would soon become the pivotal force in the struggle to control an alternate Victorian Universe. But before the deadly game could end, he would first have to battle gigantic Landfortresses, outwit Dragons, romance a beautiful Adventuress, and defeat the Evil legions of a Dark Court determined to destroy him at all costs.

Then maybe, just maybe, he could find a way home again ...

It’s a novel. It’s a game. It’s both. It’s Castle Falkenstein™, an amazing journey into another universe just a few steps away from our own: a place where Dragons and Steampower rule the skies, Faerie Lords duel atop the battlements, and where the forces of Wizardry and Magick meet the gaslight streets of the Victorian Age. But with Castle Falkenstein™, the story never ends, as you too take up saber and spell to adventure in a distant world on the other side of the mysterious Faerie Veil: a world of Swashbuckling Fantasy, High Romance, and Magickal Technology. The world of—Castle Falkenstein™

New Release - Greyhawk Campaign Guide (by Joesph Bloch)

As stated earlier, Greyhawk has opened up to third-party publishers via the DM's Guild, and one of the first releases is the Greyhawk Campaign Guide by the OSR's very own Joe Bloch.

The Greyhawk Campaign Guide hit "Copper" on DTRPG in six hours. When it hits Gold, it can be offered as a POD. The Greyhawk Campaign Guide is 14.95 in PDF.

Behold, Greyhawk!

A land of magic, mystery, and mayhem, where ancient dungeons contain vast treasures and infinite dangers, where great armies march across the land, and where bands of adventurers seek to maintain the balance, or help the innocent, but are never above making a quick profit.

This book gives the dungeon master a wealth of information to run a campaign in this venerable fantasy setting, with information on history, the calendar, weather, the inhabitants of the land, descriptions of the lands and wildernesses that make up the Flanaess, and more.

The accompanying Greyhawk Player's Guide will be published soon.

Bundle of Holding - Teeth RPG

It's October, and that means a month of deals on Horror RPGs. Here is one I had yet to hear of before - The TEETH RPG. I may just have to pick this one up ;)

Adventurer, open wide and say aaaaaaughhhh! with this all-new TEETH RPG Bundle featuring TEETH, the fantasy-horror tabletop roleplaying game of occult crime and monster-hunting in a cursed corner of 18th-Century England. A grotesque tragicomic meld of Blackadder and The Witcher, TEETH adapts the Forged in the Dark rules for monster-hunting in the benighted Vale of the Deleuth, which glories in revolting mutations, occasional insurrection, murderous Hogmen, and also-murderous pies. You're supposedly a Hunter, charged with driving back monstrous incursions and protecting the trade in occult artifacts. But that is subterfuge! Your Outfit of bruisers, scholars, trackers, and sappers (explosives experts) share a Secret Agenda, and a one-year time limit before occult contamination corrupts you. If you execute your mission and escape the Vale before Winter ends, you can claim victory – however horrible the cost.

We know you're already champing at the bit to pay just US$7.95 for the complete, DRM-free 320-page TEETH: A Roleplaying Game core rulebook (retail price $27.50), along with the pay-what-you-want scenario Night of the Hogmen and the False Kingdom campaign.

And you'll get a second bite at the apple with our More Teeth Collection, including the aptly named expansion More Teeth and the standalone introductory scenarios Stranger & Stranger and Blood Cotillion. That's an additional $26 retail value, yours if you pay more than the threshold price of $15.43.

Bundle of Holding - Unknown Armies 3E

I've followed Unknown Armies over the past few years without ever taking "the dip." I've been intrigued by the system and default setting, but I have never committed to buying into the system before now.

The Starter Collection for Unknown Armies, at 7.95, fits my needs perfectly. At just under 21 bucks as I type this, the Complete Bundle intrigues me, but it may be beyond my current level of interest.

Adept! This all-new Unknown Armies 3E Bundle presents Unknown Armies, the 2016 Third Edition of the acclaimed Atlas Games tabletop roleplaying game about broken people risking everything to change the world. Reality as we know it is shaped by a group of 333 people so dedicated to certain attributes that they become the archetypes of the Invisible Clergy, who are locked in an eternal struggle for power. Your characters are pawns in this power struggle – and you're hoping to join the ranks of the Clergy itself. You might struggle against the New Inquisition, the Sect of the Naked Goddess, or your own deteriorating sanity. You might face vampires, godwalkers, or fellow practitioners of magick. Against unrelenting opposition, will you win through?

Created by Greg Stolze and John Tynes, Unknown Armies is a game of postmodern occult intrigue, transcendental horror, and furious action. It's about driven characters who gain the power to alter reality until it aligns with their fevered desires – about obsession and identity – about revealing the horrible truth we don't want to see, and claiming that truth for yourself. It's about being relentlessly, hopelessly human.

For just US$7.95 you get all five titles in our Starter Collection (retail value $35) as DRM-free .PDF ebooks or MP3 music tracks, including the first rulebook (Book 1: Play) with all the rules for players, plus the introductory scenario Maria in Three Parts and three sets of ambient music tracks composed by James Semple: Upsetting Anomalies, Unnatural Artistry, and Uncanny Acuity.

And if you pay more than the threshold price of $20.82, you'll level up and also get our entire Complete Collection with twelve more titles worth an additional $64, including four more rulebooks – Book 2: Run, Book 3: Reveal, Book 4: Expose, and Book 5: Mine – along with the full-length scenario Bring Me the Head of the Comte de Saint-Germain and seven "Campaign Starter Kits": Derby Girls Destroy DC, Heroin Highway, Karmic Ties and Fifth Wheels, Raiders of the Lost Mart, Sacred Pharma, Violence Inherent in the System, and Young Practicals.
