Humble Bundle - Voices of Warhammer 2020 by Black Library

My days of sitting down and reading novels are long past. My attention span just isn't what it was prior to chemo over a dozen years ago, and physically reading a book means I can't multitask. But audiobooks? That I can do. As for Warhammer audiobooks? They are like listening to audio plays. It brings an already amazing setting to life. I am listening to the first chapter of Trollslayer as I type this ;)

Humble Bundle is offering Voices of Warhammer 2020 by Black Library, a selection of Warhammer audiobook fiction for a little as a buck. I'm in for 18 bucks, less than a buck a book. Huzzah!

  1. When my table started playing WFRP 4e I knew virtually nothing about the setting. To brush up, I bought a short story novel (one of the real old ones) an listened to Genevieve the Dead which is a collection of three novellas. I mark the aesthetic of Warhammer as one of exaggeration; if its ugly, its horribly so, if its big, its enormousness. Just look at the shoulder pads, the tank cannons, the orcs toothy mouths. The books on the shelf are the same way. At B&B they sit on the shelf as weighty tomes. Like a lot of this type of licensed literature, there is some dross so I think looking up reviews before buying is important here.

  2. I'm very new to the whole Warhammer universe, I have bought the collection however I'm not sure where to start. Is there a best order to read (listen) these in?

    1. Ive started with Trollslayer. The audio is like listening to an audio play. It’s well done and gives a great feel for the setting.
