Kickstarter - Tabletop Gaming Maps Print On Demand! Starting at just $10!
To tell the truth, if you had asked me a year ago if I thought there was a market for print on demand gaming maps, I would have laughed at the idea. The problem is, my vision would have been obscured by years of ONLY gaming via VTTs (excluding con play). I would have missed the forest for the trees, as most VTT gaming uses tabletop maps, but on the screen.
Now, after a solid six months of gaming at Legendary Realms out on Long Island I truly appreciate what a good gaming map can add to your RPG sessions.
Tabletop Gaming Maps Print On Demand! fills a niche at an affordable price point.
I'm really interested in seeing how well this funds. I think the market for this is potentially huge.

Alright, where's the entrance(s) for the posted map? I can see how Tucker's Kobolds get around in it, and slip out, but I'm totally missing how murder hobos get into that.
ReplyDeleteLooks like 1 might be a well, you climb down on handholds on the left?
DeleteIs there a level just to pledge for PDFs?
ReplyDeleteI think the market for this could be pretty large, considering that MapForge, World Engine, and DungeonFog have all recently funded on Kickstarter (all 3 are map-making programs that allow for the creation of print-resolution maps). That's going to mean thousands of RPG cartographers in need of an inexpensive large-format printing solution.
