Deal of the Day - Timemaster (Pacesetter / Goblinoid Games)

I have fond memories of Timemaster. It was one of a series of games from Pacesetter Games and a bunch of ex-TSR employees produced in the 80s, including Star Ace, Chill, and Sandman, and uses a color-coded results table. Goblinoid Games resurrected it and for that I am happy.

Normally 5.95 in PDF, until tomorrow morning Timemaster is on sale for 3.57
This is the reprint version, with all new interior art by Mark Allen. This book combines the two books from the original boxed set. The introductory adventure is now provided separately as a free download.
Lurching into action, your battered chronoscooter crosses the void of time and space. Another lurch, and the vertigo fades. The countryside comes into view. Knights in armor battle, clanging sword against shield, and then someone blasts at your neck with a laser beam. Once again, all of Time is a mess, and as an agent of the Time Corps, you must set this world straight or die trying! Adventure to any place, any time, in this universe and beyond! The TimeMaster Roleplaying Game makes you master of the "Fourth Dimension", guiding you to the ultimate adventure in history, legend, and science fiction. fight cunning aliens and savage renegades who twist Time to their own purposes. Only skill and wit stand between the world you know and absolute chaos

Kickstarter - Burial Plots (CryptWorld Adventures)

The thing I really liked about the original (Pacesetter) version of Chill was that is was, in a way, Call of Cthulhu with hope and some camp. Strict horror can be depressing to play longterm, but Chill did longterm campaigns well.

CryptWorld is the old Pacesetter game engine with a horror theme much like the original Chill. Think of it as a Chill retroclone.

Burial Plots, written by +Tim Snider , is a book of five adventures for CryptWorld. The adventures are written. The Kickstarter is to pay for the interior art. It has reached its funding goal AND an early, art free PDF is available to backers right now.

15 bucks gets you the PDF and an at cost Print version.

30 bucks gets you the PDF and an at cost Print version AND the PDF and at cost Print version of one of the Pacesetter rulebooks, including CryptWorld if you need it. Now THAT is a deal.

RPGNow Deal of the Day - CryptWorld (Think "Chill" Clone)

RPGNow's Deal of the Day has been a bit hit or miss, but when it hits, it hits well.

CryptWorld is a clone of the old Pacesetter Chill game. It's well written by Dan Proctor and +Tim Snider . Tim knows the Pacesetter system very well, and it comes through in CryptWorld.

It's on sale until tomorrow morning for $3.22 in PDF. If you haven't checked it out yet, now is a perfect time to try.

Bundle of Holding - Nightmare Alley

It's the second October Horrors Collection - Nightmare Alley

Rotworld is the one I know. It uses the classic Pacesetter System (Chill, Sandman and the like). You can get that and 3 other games for a donation of ANY amount.

Beat the average (currently a hair over $14) and you get Cryptworld (for all intents and purposes a Chill clone) and one other game - with more to follow, I am sure.

I did have fun with Chill and the other Pacesetter games back in the day and it is October...

Game Flashback - Wabbit Wampage

Wabbit Wampage was a fun filled board game from Pacesetter Games released in 1985. I think I snagged my copy in 86 or 87.

What other game includes just about every classic cartoon method player destruction? I mean, a rabbit with a chainsaw rocks ;)

This wasn't a quick game, and at times it could get confusing, but it was certainly oneof the go to games along with Chaos Maruaders and Warlock of Firetop Mountain to fill in time when we lacked a full group for our RPG session.
