The Tavern Chat Podcast - Episode #37 - How I See the OSR

Yeah, I go out and define the OSR. Thankfully, it is only my personal definition, so no need for the tar and feathers ;)
Yep, I screwed up some of the early episodes. Argh! I talk about the OSR and The Tavern as a Neutral Ground. Oh, and a free game for 24 hours only.

  1. Dude, I know you're super-pumped about podcasting, which is great and all, but this is a blog. I come for the written word!

    1. Cosign!

I've noticed that the number of comments attached to the posts is decreasing... is it because people are doing all their communicating in the Discord chat? Kinda sad to see the dialogue disappearing.

    2. I've set the comments to "moderate all" after some folks posted bags of shit earlier in the week.

as for the written word, I'm playing catch up V - read the Latest State of the Tavern to see what I mean.

  2. I agree with Vengar (God help me!) Id prefer to see a return to written word format over podcasts. I can read faster then I can listen.

  3. I hate to dog-pile here, but I've got to say I've only listened to a single podcast. I just don't have the time. I much prefer written blog entries.

  4. I do prefer text. However, in good podcatchers (I use & recommend Downcast, YMMV), you can set the playback speed. Erik at 1.5x is about listenable for me, 2x might be a little hard to follow but more efficient…
