I remember Kim Mohan fondly as editor of Dragon Magazine in the 80s and 90s, likely the best run that amazing magazine ever had. Kim writing the Wilderness Survival Guide was simply a bonus.
This is sad news. Although I did not know him personally I was aware of his contribution to TSR's products, often in an editorial capacity. He also was the author of the 1E AD&D Wilderness Survival Guide which is still useful today. My condolences to his family.
