Humble Bundle - Pathfinder 2nd Edition by Paizo

Color me VERY surprised. I never expected Paizo to put Pathfinder 2nd Edition on sale on Humble Bundle so early in its life span. Nor did I expect them to include a PRINT copy of the rulebook to be included at 30 bucks, but they did. Hell, it's tempting even for me ;)

  1. Wow. I'm with you very surprised. My gut tells me they are struggling if they are pushing a sale, but I know that's not always the case.

PF is way to crunchy for me, but the 1e beginner box they did was good and I will get the 2e beginners box when it comes out.

Man but 30 does sound tempting....its not like I'm spending money at the bar.

  2. I don't have any proof, but I have to imagine they're doing this because PF2 is hemorrhaging money. When WotC foisted 4e upon the world, Pathfinder was created for the specific purpose of backwards compatibility with 3.5e, allowing Paizo to grab up many of the customers WotC had abandoned. History is now repeating itself—except this time it's Paizo slapping its most loyal customers in the face by creating a new edition that is incompatible with the books those customers have sunk hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars in. This big sale is Paizo's attempt to draw in new players, because the old players refuse to be burned again.
