Giving Away a PDF Copy of the Creature Compendium by New Big Dragon Games

+Richard LeBlanc was nice enough to give me a PDF copy of his latest release, the Creature Compendium, to give away to one of The Tavern's lucky patrons.

What do you need to "be in to win?" Add a comment to this post before 10 AM Sunday morning (April 12th for those counting.)

While you are at it, you can snag a print copy of the Creature Compendium at Lulu for $7.99. If you use the coupon code:APRIL30 you get an additional 30% off.

Code should be good through Sunday, bringing the print price to $5.60.

  5. (this is not a freebie-seeker comment, but I suppose it is, sorry)

This thing looks awesome and I'll buy a print copy when we get home from vacation.

    Congratulations to The White Dick.

  7. I already have it (so I am not entering). It is a great little book. I love the dual-stat system they are using, though I think it could have been streamlined. But the monsters are great and lot of fun. Plus I can't see a single reason why I can't use it for 5e as well.

    But I LOVE monster books.

  11. One day I will win one of these... This looks pretty sweet - I love the dual-stat system for more B/X love!

  16. Does it work with Swords & Wizardry or original AD&D?

    1. You bet! The OD&D/1E stats takes care of 1E (and 2e for that matter - just add THAC0) and the B/X stats handles the rest.

    2. Dual-statted? Nice. Not that we shouldn't all be able to do it on the fly but it's good to have the lazy option.

Sorry, I just got home after a 21 hour homicide investigation, best comment I could come up with...
