Bundle of Holding Goes Old School For My Anniversary ;)

I think it's just a coincidence that tomorrow, November 5th, sometime in the afternoon, Bundle of Holding is going to be offering an OSR bundle of goodness. There is no way it could be happening to coincide with my wedding anniversary, could it? ;)

What's being offered? If I told you, I'd have to kill you. Seriously. Or something. I've been sworn to secrecy.

That being said, I expect a ruleset that I've used to run a decently long campaign, possibly a megadungeon that I really need to run some day, some monsters and other goodies. Do I know anything for sure? No. But if the lineup comes close to what I expect, it should be an excellent package.

That being said, if you could put together a Bundle of OSR Goodness, what would be in it?

  1. Dammit! Seriously! I don't have any money left! (I am enjoying my SWN and HPL bundles, though...)

  2. More to the point, what would I put in it? A selection from the following:

    * Ambition and Avarice
    * A megadungeon (Rappan Athuk, Stonehell, Barrowmaze 1 & 2, original Caverns of Thracia)
    * Citadel of Evil (a pocketmod adventure, for fun)
    * B/X D&D
    * Kefitzah Hadereach - Incunabulum of the Uncanny Gates and Portals
    * Moleskin Maps 1-4
    * Dyson's Delves
    * Teratic Tome
    * Thornburg
    * AFG

    (Apologies to those left out--this is not an exhaustive list or anything.)

  3. The famous rhyme about November 5 begins with, "Remember, remember..." Perfect both for old school games and for anniversaries.

  4. A decent OSR rule set, a good, crunchy campaign setting, a bestiary, and a smattering of low level adventures to get it all started. Or perhaps one megadungeon... :-)) Of course, most of this is available for free already, so something would have to be special about it to give it value. Maybe a rules expansion, or a virtual tabletop for shared play (I have no idea how much these cost, so apologies if that is out of the question), or something. Andrew also has some good ideas in the previous post.

  5. That's a good question. I'll have to think about it a bit.
