Someone, anyone, please tell me this does not look like ToC of Dragon Magazine from the mid '80s.
I like the look a lot, but even my wife noted the similarity (due to helping me box up for storage 150+ issues of the Dragon last winter for storage) and she is not a gamer.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it was done that way to pay tribute to what Gary started all those years ago. I like the format... now wants one "real baaaaaad"!

ReplyDeleteThis looks like it might have more worth as a collectible (especially if there is a lawsuit over the trade dress) rather than something I would ever read, much less use.
the only part i read so far was Len Lakofka's article - nice catch up and interesting match about which is better - plus to hit or plus to damage.

I just went to buy a subscription to this and then discovered that the only option to send this to Australia costs $34 for a single issue and $72 for a 4 issue subscription. I was going to buy it basically to just support them but I don't think so...
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat Nick. Let's hope Milsims gets this in and we can buy direct from them instead. Otherwise I can only hope the pdfs will be reasonably priced.
DeleteCanada is also horrifically expensive. Considering it is free to ship to next door, but $50 to Canada...
