What I like about it is the glimpse of psychology that has people who are normally quite well-to-do taking part in these incredibly violent "gangs."

TV:
Sons of Anarchy: It's about an Outlaw Motorcycle Club, but it's great inspiration for a campaign where your characters are all members of a criminal organization. It's the best written and acted show on television right now, IMHO.

Torchwood: It's a slightly more serious spin-off of Dr. Who with a team in Cardiff tracking down and eliminating aliens. In particular, the first series episode "They Keep Killing Suzie" offers an interesting take on what I like to call "gamer sociopathic syndrome" where PCs will take ruthless measures without a full realization of the consequences.Higgipediahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15898074416237354260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724254580047847936.post-24026036843519517742010-12-27T21:41:36.517-05:002010-12-27T21:41:36.517-05:00Yeah, I could see Groundhog Day being played out i...Yeah, I could see Groundhog Day being played out in a Paranoia session ;)Tenkarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05159289652051155824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724254580047847936.post-42310989084537084542010-12-27T21:39:00.400-05:002010-12-27T21:39:00.400-05:00T.V. show: Warehouse 13, the Twilight Zone Twin Pe...T.V. show: Warehouse 13, the Twilight Zone Twin Peaks.

Movies: Second Hand Lions, The Darjeeling Limited, Groundhog Day, and Big Fish.

Of course people may say my movie picks aren't game related, but as far as inpiration they are very good for that in a unique sort of way. Inuyasha is one of my favorite particularly the temple made out of a Inuyasha's demon father. Full Metal Alchemist is also good although it is more steampunk. The Slayers is very D&D like in its structure although it is way too silly to sometimes. I also recommend Berserk even though I didn't see it on Hulu you may be able to find it somewhere else (be warned it's very dark).imredavehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11791259426241403181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724254580047847936.post-1013200152510765242010-12-27T21:10:19.852-05:002010-12-27T21:10:19.852-05:00You definitely should watch Brotherhood of the Wol...You definitely should watch Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Further,
Films:
Arn: The Knight Templar
With Fire and Sword
The City of Lost Children
The Princess Bride
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke

Series:
Carnivale
The Tudors
Rome
Merlin
The Lost World

Also, and you might have to wait for this one, and most likely do some digging, The Troll Hunter.

My post on the last one:
http://thebookofworlds.blogspot.com/2010/11/troll.htmlHaraldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09864029225698561023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1724254580047847936.post-86119965362058384152010-12-27T20:47:10.993-05:002010-12-27T20:47:10.993-05:00Let's see what I can pull from left field...Ri...Let's see what I can pull from left field...

Rio Bravo - My favorite John Wayne Western.

Flesh & Blood - Rutger Hauer Flick.
