I think it coul...S&W Light definitely has legs. I think it could be the go-to ruleset for new players and convention play. I think it will eventually reach the complexity of White Box but more modular. For me personally, it serves as an extreme on a continuum between simplicity and complexity with S&WL on one end and 5e on the other. All of the rest of the editions (really only B/X, 1e & 2e) and the retroclones (a few gems can be found) serve only to complement this continuum.<br /><br />Also, I think this is opportunity to purge rules that are there just for the sake of nostalgia and in hindsight aren't really that good. For example, the use of milestone leveling removes the need for XP bonuses due to high ability scores.<br /><br />I am looking forward to start of this journey.
