I saw your url in my p...Erik, you have made my day. I saw your url in my project dashboard with SO MUCH support coming from this site, I had to come check it out. Love the blog!<br /><br />As I told the crew over at The RPG Corner, I don't really see this as a Rifts retro-clone. The truth is that getting a bunch of different aliens and monsters to Earth can only be done a couple of ways, and portals is the one that works best without space travel. I really think that any canonical similarities end with the presence of portals, and even those are WAY different. Beyond that, it just follows natural extensions of post-apocalyptic, kitchen sink types of themes.<br /><br />Having written for Palladium, and Rifts specifically for so many years, obviously Rifts is a big influence. Not just on me, but on the gaming world as a whole. I'm wary of direct comparisons to Rifts, though, not just because I don't want to step on toes, but also because I don't want anyone to feel misled.<br /><br />All that said, I'm blown away by the support. Really, I am. I think it's well worth your investment and I think you'll love the game.
