The Tavern Chat Podcast - Episode #31 - Free RPG Day and a New Player in Gaming Podcasts

Yep. It had to happen. There's a new podcast in town from one of the "big boys". Well, at least I'll get to enjoy an authentic English accent if I listen in.
A quick listing of what's available for Free RPG Day 2018. A short rant about blocking folks on social and then talking about them. Morrus enters the world of podcasting.

  1. Wouldn't matter if a hundred new podcasts started. Most of them podfade, and even though the big guys get a bit of a boost in listeners when they start (something you yourself have probably enjoyed) people don't stick around for dull or uninteresting shows. Moreover podfading often has little to do with the number of listeners, it usually comes down to time management and personal interest. I know my attempts at OSR and Sci-fi specific podcasts failed because of how rarely I've gotten to play OSR games, and the difficulties of handling all of the Sci-Fi genre of RPGs in a general way. I'm podcasting about Fudge nowadays, and even though my listeners could all fit in a decent sized class room, I'm hitting my groove and having 50-60 people interested in what you have to say isn't bad. Don't sweat new players in the game, and don't sweat the big guys.
