So, what does this mean for you?

Well, if you are a gamer I hope to present you with a deep selection of OSR goodness. You've been loyal readers for years, some of your for the full eight years, and this is part of me paying you back. Seriously, I love getting my Loot Crate and Mythoard every month, but the idea of a monthly shipment of OSR picks landing on my doorstep is simply awesome. If you've been following the current OSR Extravaganza Sale at RPGNow, you know the waters of the OSR are deep and full of life. Its time to take a swim in those waters.

If you are a publisher of OSR or System Neutral products, rulebooks, adventures, accessories, settings, etc and you would like to be part of the Tenkar's Tavern Crate I need to talk with you. Email me at tenkarsDOTtavern at that gmail thing. Put "Tenkar's Crate" in the email heading. We'll talk gaming and TPKs before getting down to the nitty gritty.

If you are a publisher and will be at NTRPG Con this week, we WILL talk. Trust me on this :)

As if you can't tell, I'm extremely excited to be a part of this. I've been dying to talk about this for weeks!

Doh! Sign up is on the right side of this page! DO spread the word! The more folks that sign up for the crate the better the crates are for everyone. Now to put my Tenkar's Tavern Crate Wishlist together...

  1. Sounds interesting! Makes me wish I had more of my OSR/neutral materials ready to go. :)

  2. Does this mean that the Judge's Guild stuff will be moving from Mythoard to the Tenkar's Tavern Crate or is that OS instead of OSR and not qualifying?

    1. I would need to talk with Bad Mike, but I do believe he's been picked through pretty well.

I'm already lining up publishers. A certain barrel riding hobbit might be on board...

  3. Figures this is the year I can't make it to NTRPGcon :(

  4. Can't seem to get an estimate for shipping. I'm assuming shipping to Ireland will be enough to drive me to penury, but it'd be nice to know.

    1. Well now, there are always exceptions that proves the rule and if everyone liked me I'd be doing something wrong.

I didn't write that part so you are free to disagree or not as you see fit :)

  7. Are your new business partners aware that you randomly remove members from the community who refuse to kiss your butt when they get insulted by the has beens whose coattails you like to ride? Great way to treat potential customers.

    1. Let's stick to the facts:

1 - you removed yourself from the community.

2 - you asked to return. I said you had to wait 30 days.

3 - you then made ultimatums.

I don't do well with ultimatums.

    2. "Do not contact me again unless you're going to apologize for the attacks on me and unban me" is hardly an unreasonable ultimatum, if you even call it that. Quit being a drama queen and get over yourself.

    3. You are the only one being dramatic here, you came that way and you'll probably leave that way too.

    4. You don't sound so enthused to be here anyway, other than to make trouble.
Why don't you go back to ponyfinder and find ken and barbie?

  8. Lets put this in proper context and add your words leading up to the quote you posted:

"Now, weeks later, I asked to rejoin the community, to be told I am banned for "a while more". For being so bold as to attack WotC and GG.

The french sounding POS loser who insulted me and attacked my family though, not scolded, not warned, not banned.

If meaningless and worthless kissing up to idiots just because they know one of the Gygax brothers is more important than honest fans who want to participate, there's nothing I can do about it, but please be honest and admit that I am banned because Ernie Gygax and Benoist Poire requested it, not because of anything I did or said.

Is Ernie that desparate to hide the fact that he used the missing EGG Memorial Funds money to pay WotC to make their big announcement at his Con, instead of the far larger industry con a week earlier? Anyone who doesn't jump for joy over his backroom deal with Mike Mearls must be silenced, is that it?

You don't need to bother responding unless you want to apologize to me and my family, and change your decision about my status in the community. More excuses would just be more insulting."

BTW, its impossible for Ernie to have misappropriated funds from the GMF - only Gail Gygax has access to the monies in the fund. Which invalidates your whole theory.

No one requested your banning. I made that decision on my own. It wasn't difficult as your vitriol left me little choice. Such misguided anger is, quite simply, not community friendly.

I see you aren't addressing your comment that you were "randomly removed", which is blatantly false.

Notice, your comments here are not deleted, but I would advise you to think before commenting further. You have done yourself no favors thus far.

    1. Yes, I left the community by my own choice to avoid getting dragged into a nasty argument after I saw the reaction to my criticism of Goodman Games at Garycon. The private message you reposted was after I politely asked to rejoin weeks later when I thought the drama had died down, and you said I was banned for another month or so. Randomly removed was bad choice of words.

And since I have no evidence to back up what I said about Ernie Gygax in our private conversation, I apologize to him for that accusation. I'm not happy about being banned for an ugly argument that happened after I left the discussion, but that's not an excuse to attack him.

    2. You quoted from that private conversation fist, not me. I was adding context to your specific initial quote.

If your approach then was the way it is now - civil - you may not have been told you were on a time out.
