Swords & Wizardry Light PDF Available for Download (this is NOT the optimized version)

Swords & Wizardry Light made its debut at GameHole earlier today and there was much rejoicing.

I've been informed by the powers that be that the Swords & Wizardry Light PDF is ready for download for those that have requested it. Be warned, this is a hefty PDF for a mere 2 pages, as this is the same file that was used by the printers.

Next week, we should have a smaller PDF as well as a Word file for download. All hail +Zach Glazar !

In the meantime, may I present to you, Swords & Wizardry Light! (yep, this is the download link)

(note - the Swords & Wizardry Light Forum is up for questions, comments and the like)

  1. Cool to have this shared. Very Gracious! Thank you, Sir.

  2. Cool. Totally in love with this.

After an admittedly fast read, there is no explanation of what "HD" or Hit dice is, or if it's based off D6 or D8 (or something else).

    Was that intentional?

    1. not intentional, but Light only uses d6 and d20

    2. Oh, true. I didn't even notice there was no reference to a D8.

    3. Just the same, it is a bit....foggy...in that regard.

  3. Also, the explanation of Armor Class is a bit...puzzling. I know that you need to roll the number in brackets *OR HIGHER* for AAC, but the rules imply you must hit the listed number, and *ONLY* the listed number.

Just a little clarification could be useful there.

  4. Clarifications are being added to the forum. A handful are up already.

  5. Typo - Haflings should be Halflings in the Movement Rate section.

Formatting - bonus doesn't need the hyphenation under Attribute Bonus section of the Ability Scores section.

Minor - Torchbearer looks like an ability score. I suggest removing the capitalization/BOLD/Italics, and then end the sentence after the word torchbearer. Then in parenthesis, after that sentence, include the stats.

GREAT WORK ERIK!!! I'm looking forward to the Word file, so I can zine-ify this into a 4-page zine + cover/screen (I think you'll like what I do to it.)

  6. "recall those halycon days of herosim, and forge brand new legend. Welcome back to Swords & Wizardry Light!"

End of Intro paragraph in bold and italics.

Should be "halcyon" and "heroism". Typos.

  7. Any chance of there ever being a "White Box Light"?

  8. Just a small point - it doesn't actually say that clerics get their spells renewed daily(ish) by rest and prayer, I showed this to a newbie and he assumed he could cast his one spell repeatedly.
