Reddit "Flash Mob" at The Tavern Today

Apparently the following post: http://www.tenkarstavern.com/2013/06/mike-nystul-fiscally-incompetent-washes.html got linked in a discussion thread of the ass who burned a bunch of books he didn't ship to backers: Kickstarter Fail: Artist Raises $51K to Publish Books, Burns Them in Alley

Reddit drives amazing traffic. Sadly, I suspect its not quality traffic. Still, it's a fun ride and I've already hit twice my previous high for daily traffic and there's still 3 1/2 hours to go.

Go figure ;)

  1. That's happened to me before as well. Somebody linked to my 'Be A Better Player' posts on Reddit and the traffic shot through the roof. It could last for a couple days or so before it dies out but watching those traffic spikes is nice.

  2. Yeah happened to me during the height of the Dark Phoenix Publishing train wreck when someone on SA linked to me.

  3. My biggest spike was from BoardGameGeek, when I criticized FFG's iPad in-store add kiosk program.

  4. That was me. I was wondering how much traffic it would drive.

  5. A mention in Johnn Four's _Roleplaying Tips_ drove my site to about 6 times it's previous peak one day, a little more than 12 times my regular traffic.
